Icona Pop is definitely out on the 23rd June, itunes have amended the date accordingly.

Will be quite an interesting battle and I actually worry that The Wanted will beat it (its been getting big airplay and I can see it clearing 100k). I'd imagine Icona Pop will #1 on the Itunes Album chart but The Wanted will obviously debut high on the singles side due to the pre-order.

 52. Chris Brown "Don't Think They Know"

Some real quality music being released from Brown's upcoming album. Shame it's not doing as well commercially as the last two albums, a return to R&B is greatly appreciated by me ("Don't Judge Me" and "Fine China" are gems in his discography).

Hoping the EP sales (still at #8) will be enough to keep Tom Odell T10 officially. With Arctic Monkeys and Daft Punk's multiple versions, it should be Taylor Swift behind him officially (at #11).

Like I asked yesterday, how are you expecting this to happen when Tom Odell was behind Swift/Sheeran on the midweek update AND still behind them on iTunes (and to my knowledge has been trailing them on iTunes for the entire week)? :P

I've been waiting for 'Down The Road' to take off for ages, it would be incredible for it to smash. Maybe music channels are playing it?

Taylor and Ed have a second version too in the top 50/60

21. I Love It (I Don't Care Remix) - Remix Chix

145. I Love It (Radio Edit) - Remix Chix

328. I Love It - Remix Chix

517. I Love It (Extended Radio Edit) - Remix Chix

That multiple version SLAYAGE. Top 40 pls (as Remix Junkies won't be).

I wonder if Remix Chix are actually the same people as Remix Junkies, very similar tracklists

Just listened to it on Spotify - it is EXACTLY the same as Remix Junkies.

Amazing. :D Remix Chix/Remix Junkies to be the first artist to chart in the same week with the same song under a different pseudonym. :D

Well there was 'Together In Electric Dreams' which erroneously appeared in the top 200 twice, once as 'The Human League' :P This is probably the first time it'll happen in the top 75/100 though!

Were The Wanted ever really No1 contenders for next week?

The Wanted's first week sales for new/held back singles:

117,165 Glad You Came (23/07/2011)

84,174 All Time Low (07/08/2010)

82,490 Gold Forever (26/03/2011)

71,451 Lightning (29/10/2011)

69,330 Chasing The Sun (02/06/2012)

66,394 Heart Vacancy (30/10/2010)

51,827 I Found You (17/11/2012)

Aside from Glad You Came none of their other singles have cleared 85k. Walks Like Rihanna is nowhere as big as Glad You Came, All Time Low, or even Chasing The Sun' for that matter. I'd say even taking into account the current rarefied sales environment only 75-80k is likely, which is not going to be anywhere enough to overhaul the likes of Robin Thicke, Icona Pop, or Jason Derülo.

16. Remix Chix - I Love It (I Don't Care Remix)

17. Mariah Carey Feat Miguel #Beautiful (New peak once Remix Chix gets deleted)

27. Ke$ha Feat Will.i.am - Crazy Kids

33. Union J - Carry You

60. David Guetta Feat Sia - Titanium

72. Leah Mcfall - Killing Me Softy (Should hopefully miss the top 40)

81. The Saturdays Feat Sean Paul - What About Us

96. Jennifer Lopez Feat Pitbull - Live It Up

110. The Wanted - Walks Like Rihanna

151. Snoop Lion Feat Miley Cyrus - Ashtrays & Heartbreaks

158. Bridget Mendler - Hurricane (This needs to be reduced to 59p)

175. Kelly Clarkson - People Like Us

188. Miley Cyrus - We Can't Stop

189. Carly Rae Jepsen - Tonight I'm Getting Over You

Just listened to it on Spotify - it is EXACTLY the same as Remix Junkies.

Shouldn't the sales of Remix Chix and Remix Junkies be combined in the official chart then? It would effectively be the same as 'Ding Dong the Witch is Dead' (I think one version was credited to 'Judy Garland et al' and one to 'the Munchkins' but because they were exactly the same song despite the different credit, they were combined).

EDIT: It looks like they've been deleted again anyway.

Terrible for Union J. Worse than Boomerang / Elephant and unlike them they had major airplay on both stations! :o

Buzzjack favourite, Stephanie Treo has also covered Come & Get It by Selena Gomez, so she might get her 2nd chart hit soon. She's also covered Fall Down by will.i.am, but that's already available for download, so probably won't do anything.

I agree with this post. 100,000+ for them is not out of the question, but very unlikely imo, and even if they do, other songs will probably be selling more anyway.

Oh. Maybe Remix Chix won't have sold enough to chart anyway then. Kind of hope they are combined with Remix Junkies so they still have a chance of top 40 :P

Enough time for one more 'I Love It' fake to shoot into the top 40 before the real one comes out methinks. Nicki Bliss at #238, Get Lucky at #241, Jane French at #348, GMPresents at #536, Ameritz Top Tracks at #703. The Glee version is again the highest now though, at #140. Still, expecting Nicki Bliss to overtake tomorrow.

I'm going to miss all these fakes after Sunday :(

:cheer:

Also, so happy to see the Icona Pop release is now confirmed to be 23rd June on iTunes, can't wait to finally download it and see it in the charts!

Passenger's decreased a LOT on Kworb:

Pos Artist and Title Now 3.7 5.5

5 Passenger - Let Her Go 0.3300 0.3795 0.4409

Find that quite odd, nothing else is plummeting quite that much...

Yeah, I was wondering why Passenger has lost over 10% in just two updates? :o It's not like it's the boost it got from The Voice is wearing off as that was nearly a week ago now.
