I like how they're supporting all of the Disney/Nickelodeon etc. girls (well, not Ariana :() this year, interested to see if Miley can finally get an official top 10 as well. 'Can't Be Tamed' should have been a Top 10 for Miley. :( Plus that 'Love Sick' song which was used on ITV1's advert for a while. They've probably started supporting those types of acts as they are keen to get more younger people listening. Radio 2 seem to want the same, with them playlisting Daft Punk and Robin Thicke. :lol:

I don't think it's that Radio 2 are trying to get a younger audience, just that those songs appeal to their target audience, since they're both strongly influenced by the music of decades past.

June 19, 201313 yr plus it was hardly played despite being A-list I find that happening with Bastille's 'Laura Palmer' actually, although I find it has been played a bit more this week. If a song is A-listed, does it *have* to have a certain number of plays or is it just a rough amount it can be played.
June 19, 201313 yr Laura Palmer has had alot if plays on radio 1 trust me I listen from 8-5 each day at work. This week it's been their most played song I'd say along with John newman! Anyway great to see Kanye West getting a single on the list as I thought but even better seeing AM straight on there. So is this a first single from a new album!? Thought he new VW single Unbelievers would have Been added, great song!
