Big chart battle on the cards next week, also thrown Leah McFall in the mix, it wouldn't surprise me if her performance tonight will have a huge effect on the chart in some form. Should be an interesting chart

I'd be very surprised if Icona Pop doesn't win, especially as The Wanted AFAIK have never got the sort of 1st week sales they're likely to need to prevail against such competition, especially with a relatively weak song...

The Wanted got 120k first week sales with Glad You Came, and seeing as Walks Like Rihanna has been played loads on radio and people like it I can imagine 100k+ for it - hopefully that is not enough to overcome Icona Pop.

I'd be surprised if Icona Pop sold less than 150k, given the extraordinary number of fake covers it attracted...

I really want Icona Pop to make it to no. 1 next week. The last time I really wanted a song to be #1 was 'Spectrum (Say My Name)' and it got there, and stayed there. :D

 

Hopefully Icona Pop will win the battle, and the war at the same time. 'Walks Like Rihanna' would be the worst UK #1 since 'OWOA(TK)'. :(

There is no way they will sell that low. Just because you don't like a song doesn't mean it will flop.

There is absolutely no chance she will be top 10 tonight like Jason was last week as it isn't a single pre-order. Hopefully it will be top 10 by tomorrow lunchtime, but I'm not sure how quickly it will take off due to the release date change. It will definitely be top 10 by the end of tomorrow though, no doubt about it.

I'm going to do the sad thing of waiting until midnight and then buying I Love It ASAP. How tragic!

The Club Is Alive went to #1 though with 80k+ sales :huh: I'm not saying WLR will definitely go to #1 but I'll be very surprised if it's not top 3.

Yes but that was for JLS, one of the biggest boybands with 4 (?) no.1s. Wanted have had two number ons and have nowhere near the same popularity.

 

North East Live tonight MAY have given them a sales boost, but unless JLS have risen on iTunes tonight then I doubt the effect will be that strong.

I think Icona Pop will still get to #1 but The Wanted will easily be #2 or #3. No lower. Leah would most likely have gone top if she won but she'll be top 20. Andrea maybe as well but she'll probably fall before she secures it.
