"Bang Bang" at #3 has to be the biggest chart surprise of the weekend for me though. Looks like they might have to push it as single #4 (in the UK at least).

I hope so. Fall Down isn't too bad, but Bang Bang is so much better imo. Plus Bang Bang has a video as well.

Top 10 Popularity Update (not combining multiple versions)

The number in brackets shows popularity change since the last update. I know the percentages are "real" etc. (we had this conversation when I did this many months ago), it just shows a difference without having to do complicated calculations to work out "real" percentage increases.

:left: 01. 100% (0.0%) Robin Thicke - Blurred Lines (feat. T.I. & Pharrell)

:left: 02. 79.4% (+3.8%) The Wanted - Walks Like Rihanna

:left: 03. 62.8% (+6.1%) will.i.am - Bang Bang

:left: 04. 55.3% (+0.3%) Naughty Boy - La La La (feat. Sam Smith)

 05. 52.0% (+10.0%) Icona Pop - I Love It (feat. Charli XCX)

 06. 49.6% (+0.5%) Passenger - Let Her Go

 07. 48.5% (-0.5%) Jason Derulo - The Other Side

:left: 08. 40.4% (+0.4%) Dizzee Rascal - Goin' Crazy (feat. Robbie Williams)

:left: 09. 33.9% (+0.5%) Jessie J - Wild (feat. Big Sean & Dizzee Rascal)

:left: 10. 27.9% (0.0%) Daft Punk - Get Lucky (feat. Pharrell Williams)

So Icona Pop are still gaining the fastest on Robin Thicke, with will.i.am gaining 2nd quickest and still quicker than The Wanted.

Oh sweet Jesus I'd forgotten how terrible Tom Jones' attempt at 'rapping' was.
 4. Icona Pop - I Love It (feat. Charli XCX)
Why wouldn't they?

Goldie Lookin Chain and MC Eric from Technotronic were the first charting ones I thought of. Tystion, who rapped in Welsh

lol, i remember these guys. Their songs were so funny especially You Know I Loves You Baby, At The Job Centre & Your Mothers Got A Penis

It's going to rise a lot in the next few hours as people come home from work/school. I hope it can overtake The Wanted before they get to #1. :)

Who goes to school on a Sunday?, unless it's Sunday School at church you're talking about. And hardly anyone works on a Sunday unless if they work in retail or something.

A bit gutted that I Love It is looking likely to miss the top 3 after all. At least Robin Thicke should hold off The Wanted.

Give it a chance. It's already #4 and will.i.am and Wanted are likely to fall.

No chance it will miss out on the top 3, it is the song gaining quickest in the whole of the top 10 easily based on the last Kworb update.

I really hope 'I Love It' does have some genuine longevity and doesn't just peak next Sunday at something like #4 and starts dropping down the charts barely selling 250k this year.

It does make me wonder how many people have illegally downloaded the actual version of 'I Love It' over the last 5 months or so, and now that it's available to buy, people aren't bothering.

Considering it's been used on those TV commercials and a soundbite for Smash Hits TV for the last month or so, I'd have expected Icona Pop to have a monster hit on their hands. Still think it should've been released before now but then I guess we should be grateful we do finally have the track for people to buy.

It could easily be very successful yet. I remember when 'Call Me Maybe' was released, people we saying it's climbing slowly compared to what they expected and wasn't going to #1 - but then it did! So we shouldn't write it off until the end of tomorrow and see what the situation is then. :D

Further confirmation that Icona Pop and Charli XCX are easily the greatest gainers!! :cheer:

I fully expect Icona Pop to climb to #1 sometime during Monday, they are just climbing at such a rapid rate.

The Wanted are doing better than I expected too, they could come to within 5-10% of Thicke, but I don't expect them to be any higher than #3 come Sunday (THANKFULLY!)

It might seem Icona Pop are climbing slowly positions-wise, but that's only because were are used to these multi-week number ones like 'Get Lucky' and 'Blurred Lines' being so successful that the iTunes #2 was often selling less than 50% of it. Now we have The Wanted, will.i.am and Icona Pop all closing in on the #1 at different rates, and Icona Pop at #4 are much closer to the #1 position than the majority of the #2s have been recently.

I wonder if casual music fans are responding like this:

"Icona Pop? Pahahaha, what a daft name for a fake artist. Why are these asshats releasing a fake version of Remix Junkies amazing song?"

Actually when Cover Drive released their first song, I thought they are a fake band

blame iTunes....
