I agree, I thought 'Walks Like Rihanna' would have been a much bigger threat and would have went to number 1 on iTunes. #04 would be quite a poor outcome for the song as it's airplay has been incredible beforehand.

Good to see Cascada back, there's even a picture of a video still of the Glorious video on the inside sleeve (the only artist picture on the whole of the artwork). AATW clearly supporting Germany's Eurovision flop (and the best song of 2013 so far :D).

 

Amazed that Chase & Status' record company haven't noticed that a single that's not even been released yet is available to cherry pick! An interesting thought about compilations actually, if you cherry pick a song, how much of the royalties go to that artist, and how many to the compilation producers/record company? Or do the latter take all of the proceeds because they've already paid for the rights to the song for to be included on the compilation?

Whether Icona Pop get to #1 or not it doesn't change the fact that it's a shit song and i'll be glad when John Newman embarsses it next week.

If Icona Pop do get the #1 it will be the first major territory that they've topped the charts in, in fact it's only gone to the top in Israel so far! It's a bit surreal to see a random year old Scandipop song doing so well but Loreen and Agnes getting to #1 on iTunes were more surprising to me, as they hadn't particularly been worldwide smashes beforehand.

It's not on Capital's playlist, they could still be playing it now and then however but I've yet to hear it on there.
