Wherever Avril peaks, she's just going to fall straight out of the Top 40, maybe Top 75, the week after.

I remember reading earlier that some people think Avril will struggle to go top 40, but she will easily manage this. I wouldn't be surprised to see her in the top 20 on iTunes once it has updated later tonight after the new releases. Also Selena should be at least top 15 and K Koke and Lucy at least top 40 in the initial updates tonight.

 

I think she'll do well. Her pre-order was as high as #100? I believe when she performed in on The Voice. I hope that it can manage a top 20 placing.

 

Her 2nd single "Rock And Roll" is going ot be released in the US soon. I hope that song is amazing and smashes everywhere. It's rather annoying that Avril delivers good pop songs, but radio ignores her. :(

 

Really loved her last album, so I hope this album delivers too :wub:

I agree she will probably only manage 2 or 3 weeks top 40 though however if it can somehow make it into the top 10 which I believe there is a small possibility, Capital and/or Radio 1 may suddenly start supporting it and give it some longevity.

Yep, it got very close to the top 100 and has constantly been in the top 800 or so for the past 3 months. After all that time, she must have accumulated a very decent amount of pre-orders all together. :D

Well, her team did reduce HTNGU to $0.69 on US itunes, so it wouldn't surprise me if they have the song at 59p from the get go. Would be great if capital picked it up for the summer <3

 

I really hope Avril misses the top 30, the song is quite terrible.

It'd be fantastic if they did reduce it to 59p, it could be the thing that does get the song into the iTunes top 10. If it does manage it, I can see Capital picking it up too as they did with 'Heart Attack' when that went top 10. :wub:

Ye :wub: There isn't too much competition really either. Most of the top 10 has been mostly the same for weeks and will be decreasing in sales again next week.

The Justin situation right now is kind of reminiscent of Rihanna cutting 'Cheers (Drink To That)' short by releasing 'We Found Love'. Except neither song is doing anywhere near as well as either Rihanna song. 'Take Back The Night' seems to have stalled a bit for now.

 

Justin could possibly have 3 top 100 new entries this week anyway (and from 3 different albums). 'Take Back The Night' will probably just miss out unless it can climb quite a lot more before midnight.

I think he'll be #1 by 1am! :kink: As soon as iTunes has updated a couple of times anyway as it usually takes a couple of updates until all the pre-orders are added.

Interested in seeing how Avril, Lucy Spraggan and Selena do, there are quite a few singles coming out over the next few weeks i'm excited about which is unusual for me so will be keeping an eye on the itunes charts quite a lot over next few weeks. I wonder if Avril's sales and Selena's will be affected by the fact that they came out weeks ago in the US
