Next week's releases: pre-orders

Album chart:

7. Best Song Ever (EP) - One Direction

181. Way In the World (EP) - Nina Nesbitt

572. Sinners (EP) - Lauren Aquilina

861. Are You Getting Enough? (feat. Miles Kane) - Professor Green

Singles chart:

1053. Millionaire - Scouting for Girls

^ so based on these (+ the last few weeks), I'm gonna take a guess on their positions next week-

One Direction - #2

Nina Nesbitt - #18

Professor Green - #27

Diana Vickers - #30

(also, the prospect of Scouting for Girls possibly out-peaking AlunaGeorge is a very frightening one indeed :()

For some reason the radio edit of 'Get Lucky' is now shooting back up while the album version is plummeting. to #19 and  to #38 respectively. How strange when the album version was consistently ahead of the radio edit until just recently... if this continues maybe the radio edit could re-enter the top 10 with the weekend effect coming up.

Just watch 1D climb up the pre order chart after 4pm once it gets its first play, I am worried about next week Avicii HAS to be number one next week just to maintain my faith in humanity :(

Is there a reason all the old Avicii tracks have shot back up, beyond the boost from 'Wake Me Up' being released? I see 'Silhouettes' is back in the top 100 too and the Avicii remix of Nadia Ali 'Rapture' is also top 200.

RAPTURE  Shame it only got a #40 peak I believe. :(

It had a really good chart run for #40 though (56-80-46-41-44-45-53-40-44-49-50-76-x). Also of course the original version of the song by iiO reached #2 and Nadia is the vocalist on both versions so it's practically the same song :P

So 1Ds premiere is ending Scott Mills show at 4pm great release strategy premiering 2 days before release and 4pm is the perfect drivetime first play. Should be an interesting chart next week!

Im gunning for Avicci though!!

1D really don't stand a chance against Avicii at the moment, but they should be on course for #2.

As much as I agree there is still that fear that if Avicii can't sustain high sales that he could get dethroned but if he can sell similarly to Robin Thicke than there will be no doubt but we'll have to wait and see and hope for justice ;) I know we're looking at a top 2 selling over 100k but I am concerned!

I would be ecstatic if Diana Vickers can make the official top 40 next week.

Same!! She's doing well in Ireland at the moment (#46) and she should do even better in the UK than in Ireland based on past releases, so it's possible! I'll still be pleased with anything in the top 75 though!

The much more hyped 'Live While We're Young' did nowhere near 100k and didn't get close to #1, so I'm not so sure this will. I think Avicii could beat them by up to 100k next week.

Do you really think LWWY was more hyped up? I'd say this one is, pre-orders have been much better and LWWY's hype just seemed to evaporate after the massive initial pre-orders.

I would say 'Live While We're Young' did have more hype than this too. But anyway, 'Best Song Ever' won't do any more than 100k in my opinion - their incredibly successful EP pre-orders never translate into massive sales except for 'What Makes You Beautiful' which had the added hype of being their first single.

A chart question re: Avicii track

Does Wake Me Up credits Aloe Blacc, the cover on the sleeve there is no mention, same goes on LPB's and on MW database.

I'm interested to see how The OCC credit it, as that's the 'official' way it should be quoted elsewhere in the UK. I have a feeling it'll only credit Avicii, which is a real shame.

I don't know, but it seems he's not been credited in other countries.

It's pretty much just Avicii for the crediting although I really don't see why Aloe Blacc hasn't been credited too. It's not like he's a complete unknown, unless people in the UK have already forgotten 'I Need A Dollar' from just 2 years ago.
Thanks for the feedback, I did wonder why Aloe Blacc wasn't credited while I was prepping up my database for the new chart for Sunday.
