Panic! at the Disco have lots of good songs. I can quite happily listen to their debut from start to finish, which is rare for me.

Their second album is strange but they went in a completely different direction for it so I applaud them for that. Shame their latest flopped. :(

150. Ellie Goulding - Burn

This is doing quite well ^_^ Obviously it'll probably drop a fair bit soon but if it manages to maintain this sort of position for any decent length of time I'll be happy. Shit single for her but it still sounds like one of those "this is a big one" songs, so I'll be a bit disappointed if it's another 'Anything Could Happen'.

The pre-orders for AlunaGeorge are just embarrassing though :( No idea what's gone so wrong with this, but re-releasing buzz singles just never works. Body Music is going to completely bomb.

Eeeek, perhaps they'd have been better off releasing the album after 'Attracting Flies'?

I think it's quite a catchy song and I don't like a lot of their stuff, I thought it'd be an easy top 15.

I think it can sometimes, like with Meet Me Halfway or E.T.

I wouldn't say re-releasing buzz singles never works. I'm sure E.T managed to well despite being a buzz single and I'm sure Will.i.am Feat Miley Cyrus - Fall Down will smash once it's released as a single.

But then again, Katy, will and Taylor are all much bigger and more established artists than AlunaGeorge. But still, it worked for Tom Odell with Another Love.

I'm sure Titanium was released as a buzz single also!

Yeah, probably the most successful one! Titanium and Meet Me Halfway are the only ones I can think of that went to #1.

Sometimes they don't though. All Around the World by Justin Bieber got released I think and it didn't manage to out-peak itself.

Though the likes of "Titanium" prove otherwise, I think AlunaGeorge/their record label did make a mistake in 're-releasing' "You Know You Like It". They clearly just saw that it's #55 charting (thanks to its feature on an M&S advert) was a sign that it'd be another hit for them. In reality, they should've just seen that their 'new' fans decided to purchase a track from their back-catalogue having heard it on TV.

I'm remaining optimistic that 'Body Music' can still do well. I'm sure it'll debut somewhere in the top 5 at least, it'd be a shame if it didn't given the Critics' Choice nomination, Sound of 2013 nomination and success of "Attracting Flies"/"White Noise". Let's just hope they've got something 'big' planned for the next single (please not "Dive"!)

I think they're very different scenarios like Joseph said - you can't compare Taylor/Katy/Guetta to AlunaGeorge. I do think re-releasing can work for artists like this though, as Joseph pointed out, it worked with 'Another Love'.

 25. Lucy Spraggan "Lighthouse"

Promising for Pink and Calvin Harris - hoping for T15 peaks for both (at the minimum).

Yeah, I didn't mean promo singles for massive artists, I meant when small British artists release buzz singles to get hype and then push them later on in their campaigns. Tom is one example of it working (there's also Florence & The Machine with 'Dog Days') but most times it happens, it's a bad choice. Besides, it's just good business to push an actually new single when you're launching an album - you won't convince anyone who already knows their stuff to buy an album by releasing something they already know.

85. Miley Cyrus - We Can't Stop :D

Just when the public were starting to develop good taste, they decided to back possibly the worst song ever created? :(

This is going to smash isn't it?

Sad times, sad times

I realised last week that this is on lock for #1 now. I'd rather it wasn't, but we gotta face facts.

We Can't Stop has really grown on me, perfect for this weather
