I actually have no idea. Going by how strong their pre-orders are right now, I'd say they do stand a chance of knocking Avicii off as IDK if his sales will hold up quite as much, but equally I can see them not making it. I can't call it. Shame they don't have physicals to help out a bit this week.

Haven't even heard the song but smacks of their downfall.

They always have huge pre-orders but never break 90,000

What Makes You Beautiful sold 150k+ I believe, and One Way or Another (Teenage Kicks) sold about 112k? So yeah, never break 90k...

Oh.

Well, Teenage Kicks was Comic Relief too + WMYB was their best + their debut. I don't think this will sell enough to dethrone Avicci.

No chance that One Direction will beat Avicii, but I can see them reaching #2 with around 120k sales unless Diana beats everyone as she should do! :kink:
Going to agree with Ryan. #2 selling just over 100k. Avicii even without the pre-orders next week will still comfortably outsell 1D.

I've added (what's available so far) the relevant youtube clip. When setting up prediction threads can you please include the relevant link to give folks the chance to listen.

many thanks

On listening, oh my god. It's worse than I expected :(

I can't imagine casual music fans buying it, so I will go for #3, with a sharp fall out the charts.

#2 with ~100k sales. They're still massively popular so I see no reason why they won't get that high in the chart. Thankfully Avicii should sell 150k+ on week 2 which will be enough to beat them

Lucky to scrape top 200 with maybe 100 sales.

Precision tunes to get another #9 smash with a cover of it!!!!!

Okay help I'm too hyper today.

In all seriousness, #2 with maybe 90k

I wouldn't be surprised if this is beaten by Robin Thicke as well as Avicii considering that's almost exactly what happened to them last time.

I don't want to go on I know they have their fans (we all make wrong choices every now and again lol) but I can't stand 1D and unless they release an amazing record my opinion will never change. I think they are very lucky to be as successful as they have been they came out at the right time.

I am concerned about the pre-order sales, it was number 1 for three days at least and its been in the top 100 for a while. Nick Grimshaw will probably have this as his big thing on radio 1 and obviously there's hype around the movie, yawn :puke:

But if Avicii can sell as consistently as Robin Thicke and Daft Punk in week 2 then there will be no question!

Wish: #75

Reality: #2

As much as I'd HATE it to be Robin Thicke who beats them, I'd rather a #3 so it keeps the pattern of their singles always peaking at #1, #3 or #9. :kink:

and that time they charted at #86 :kink:
