It matters not - there is no excuse for such floppiness!

:kink:

 61. One Direction - Best Song Ever :cheer:

Seems to be going up in blocks of 10. #51 - #41 - #31 - #21 - #11 - #1 :)

Smash that top 40 Scouting For Girls. :(

09. Selena Gomez - Come & Get It :o

11. Breach - Jack

50. Diana Vickers - Cinderella

55. One Direction - Best Song Ever

65. Professor Green Feat Miles Kane - Are You Getting Enough

Only one more million seller in that entire list. A couple of others that might eventually trickle to a million but not for quite some time yet.

And yet the biggest selling single in recent years, 'Someone Like You' managed a mere 9 weeks top 10, not very impressive at all in comparison.

1-1-1-1-2-1-2-3-6

It drops out pretty quickly and judging by that top 10 run alone you wouldn't think it's sold almost 1.5 million copies.

Diana Vickers at #50, didn't everyone think it was gonna be huge???

Indeed, but 'Someone Like You' has the most weeks top 40 of any song this decade so far, spending 40 weeks there (followed by 'Ho Hey' on 38, 'Sexy And I Know It' on 37 and 'Moves Like Jagger' on 35).

Clearly coming for a #28 debut.

Saw this song just outside the top 100 like a week ago and had a listen to it. Pretty good song. Literally 100% of the YouTube comments mention 'the Bose advert' so I'm guessing that's the reason it's charting

Now! 85 tracks so far:

405. I Love It (feat. Charli XCX) [Clean Version] - Icona Pop

536. La La La (feat. Sam Smith) - Naughty Boy

670. Blurred Lines (No Rap Version) [feat. Pharrell] - Robin Thicke

866. Love Me Again (Radio Edit) - John Newman

1134. The Other Side - Jason Derulo

1258. Mirrors (Radio Edit) - Justin Timberlake

1318. Wild (UK Version) [feat. Big Sean and Dizzee Rascal] - Jessie J

Pretty predictable top 4 tracks given Daft Punk and Passenger are both album-only, they're the 6 biggest songs on the album and that's reflected by the advert. Although 'Waiting All Night' which is also on the ad is only the 14th most popular track according to ordering the album by popularity. A bit surprised at how high Jason and Jessie are above some other tracks. I think this is the first time the radio edit of 'Mirrors' has ever been available on iTunes but then the same was true of Swedish House Mafia's 'Greyhound' and that didn't make it do particularly well so that probably doesn't really have any effect.

Why has One Direction been released on a Monday?

I know even if it had been released on Sunday it would have had no chance of beating Avicii but a likely highly frontloaded track like this would normally have a Sunday release to maximise chart position. I guess it doesn't really matter now under these circumstances as it's a cast iron no.2 either way.

Poor Diana, it is a good song that deserves better, but a top 75 place on sunday would still be great.
