I've been really impressed with 'F For You's progress so far, especially considering Radio 1 only playlisted it this week. I would still think top 10 is a tad ambitious but longrunning top 20/15 seems more than likely, and I do imagine it'll outsell 'You & Me' :D

Oh dear, the late in the week release has affected the chart position so badly :( Probably would've had a top 20 peak had it been released on Sunday rather than top 40. :(

Why? It's utterly lacklustre compared to their other songs.

Gabrielle Aplin almost top 40 with (IMO) her best release yet!! :wub: . I have no idea why I'm so excited because the weekend effect will probably come and push her down as usual. I would love for it to go top 40 officially. Fantastic lyrics and vocals!

I heard 'Soon Come' on R1 a while ago, it doesn't really sound like a hit at all but looks like it may challenge for the top 40 if it's that high on pre-orders. Matt and Melanie might actually challenge for the top 40 as well, when/why/how did they get back up to the 400s on pre-order?

I know she's been unlucky with her single chart positions, but she's still a very hip name at the moment. Moreso than Jamie Woon and London Grammar anyway.

I did think F For You was a weak single choice when it was first announced but I've listened to it lots of times since and I'm loving it. Realistically, in terms of commercial success, it was probably between this and Voices when they were deciding the next single. I think they might go for Confess to Me as the fifth single when it's not as pressurised to do as well.

When I first heard CTM I was hoping it was going to be the next single and I was gutted they chose FFY but now I'm glad they have as I'd have concerns how well it would do so i think FFY is probably the safest choice and i love it so much now, I mean look at Pro Green and Miles Kane not exactly been a success and Miles has had 2 tracks playlisted by radio 1 and still can't get top 40

The Shy FX song? Yeah, it's doesn't sound like a hit, but it would be great if it could go top 40.

 

From Never Be Your Woman, Emeli, Wiley and Naughty Boy all have had big hits recently, so Shy FX needs to have one too, it's only fair.

Gosh, no need to rub it in!! :cry: :lol: I'm not too bothered really. Plus, when I think about it, he's been very lucky with some of his past hits. Jungle, Never Be a Right Time, Remedy and Avalon all got discounted, I think they all might have missed the top 40 without discounts. Avalon was in an advert too I think. I'm kind of surprised they haven't discounted his new single tbh. :lol:

I would rather Help Me Lose My Mind became a big hit rather than Confess to Me. I mean both featured artists could definitely do with a hit, but I don't really get all the fuss with Confess To Me, if anything, I prefer the current single.
