Future top 10 smash ????

This is looking to be this year's 'Spectrum' then - although probably on a much smaller scale.

Its not pre-orders... the remix is available to download

I wonder if combined sales of all versions will be enough for T40 *this* week?

Has 'Summertime Sadness' actually been released early or is it only #26 on pre-orders :o?

The radio edit was released on Wednesday! I thought that would harm its position but...

John Newman slaying all bases!

Lana del Rey smashing all the basics

:cheer:

Lana should scrape the top 40 this weekend I think. It's been climbing very quickly and it has a lot of versions. Hopefully another top 10 hit for her, it could potentially outpeak Video Games and Born To Die (both went to #9)

[77] 74| Jahméne Douglas - Titanium

These X Factor cover songs are getting more and more ridiculous. Shanetelle's Impossible (when they were trying to make him a credible artist) & now David Guetta's Titanium? :S

Also I am always surprised by John Newman's success until I hear it on the radio, then I am reminded he is one of the stars of our time!

A voice as unique as Jake Bugg's, amazing lyrics and a melody that fits in so well with a beautiful tone. He is just so unique and different, like nothing we've ever heard before! I mean look at Rudimental - no.1 smashes with John Newman, but the latest without him flopped. This is why he's slaying all bases, it's got to be that voice

Corr, walk away from iTunes for 2 days and you miss a lot.

Calvin Harris T10, Lana Del Rey T30, Disclosure T40 and Imagine Dragons, Gabrielle Aplin and Rudimental within reaching distance. Chuffed for them all!

What, 'Waiting All Night'?

@ vidcapper, Chris Moyles and the like are hardly representative of radio DJs, that's like saying Pitbull is representative of all music.

Anyhow, looks like Lana could be coming for a new singles chart peak after all. Strange that this remix started off so slowly but is now shooting up.

Problem is its only top 30 because its 59p. if it was 99p I doubt it would be in the iTunes top 200.

To be fair it got top 75 before it was made 59p IIRC (maybe even top 40?)

Thrilled that Lana is taking off! It was looking a bit touch and go for a day or two whether it would properly catch on or not.

Very pleased that Calvin is positioning himself for another Top 10 single too. Fingers crossed it holds up well next week.
