August 9, 201313 yr 13k in 2 days  that can't be right, what is your source. If that is correct, I can't see it getting any higher than 108k, or less. Avicii could catch up  The Official Charts twitter account. :) Edit - The tweet is from 17 hours ago so maybe that was yesterday's sales. Edited August 9, 201313 yr by ConnorVICKERS
August 9, 201313 yr Author The Official Charts twitter account. :) Edit - The tweet is from 17 hours ago so maybe that was yesterday's sales. That would make more sense, I guess the track is doing around 11k to 13k per day.
August 9, 201313 yr Yay for Jay/Justin up a place since Wednesday and Calvin/Ayah coming for a new peak again :D To think it was looking at one point last week like only one of them would ever make the top 10, very pleased to see both becoming solid hits. Of Monsters And Men set to enter the top 20 for a third time in separate top 40 runs without making the top 10 once. Bad luck for them. Hope they can remain 59p and someone will sing 'Little Talks' on X Factor to finally propel it into the top 10. Not yet heard the new JT song because I'm a flop loon but yay at it finally taking off a bit anyhow. The hype around his return has really died rapidly since 'The 20/20 Experience' came out :( Woop for Kings Of Leon looking set for a second top 40 from this album as well, 'Wait For Me' could even outpeak 'Supersoaker' at this rate, really surprised at how well that is doing! And obviously yay for Le Youth certain to go top 40, top 20 in a few weeks please  Example's '#Hits' album actually climbing a place since Wednesday :o Doing far better than I expected, looks like it won't be far off the #13 peak of his last album.
August 9, 201313 yr That would make more sense, I guess the track is doing around 11k to 13k per day. So Miley should be set for 128k or so then, just hope Avicci manages 100k again but as you say if he returns to the top next week it will be frustrating with all these 4 plus 1 weekers, guess thats what happens in a market were release dates are so sporadic, if all song were OA/OS it would be interesting to see sales rise and fall imo!!

On the 20/20 Experience there isnt really anything else on the album that screams hit think thats why its died a death and also the poor marketing strategy of releasing videos well after radio premieres etc doesnt help chart peaks and hence airplay falls quickly!!

Not to mention the Tunnel Vision/TBTN screw up! I don't know why they didn't either release Tunnel Vision a few weeks earlier or Take Back The Night a few weeks later. I'm sure Tunnel Vision could have gone Top 20 with proper promotion, and then they could have concentrated on TBTN which could have (and I'm sure still will) go Top 20.
August 9, 201313 yr Miley Cyrus is selling so well :D One of the fastest selling singles of the year so far!!
August 9, 201313 yr Well you can't change people's taste in music, if the track is popular it will get to #1 whatever it is... even if OneD sang about the yellow pages. :P -_- I do it find frustrating when Avicii could have had a 5 week run at #1 that's if Avcii gets back to #1 next week, if Miley's single was not around, just have to block her single from my brain. Ellie Goulding has shot to #1 on Ireland's iTunes already so I'd be more than happy to see 'Burn' contending for #1 in the UK next week.
August 11, 201313 yr I didn't think Miley would sell that much, but I'm amazed at her sales, I think she is on course for 135k+, just depends how her sales hold up towards the end of the week. Mind you saying that I was 25k out with Avicii last week  I really thought he just crack over 100k Your predictions are usually dreaful though, so I doubt anyone gives them too much merit.
August 11, 201313 yr By the way, I totally agree with what was said on the first page. It's annoying how songs hang around for so long. But there's nothing that can be done to get more new entries/get old songs to drop out. Capital FM has the power to speed things up for sure though, if they'd take more risks with what they play. Looks like we'll have a good number of new entries in the top 40 this week though!
