This album is CRAZY good. It's like the final transition into the music Rihanna actually wants to make that started with Talk That Talk. I mean can you see her listening to the dance/pop bangers she's released in the past? I think the fans who only want that kind of music from her shouldn't really be Rihanna fans in 2016 anyway, there's plenty of other artists who fulfill that quota. I hope she isn't caught too much in the middle in terms of critical acclaim and commercial success as it would be such a waste ala Marina.

Seeing as this was free and I was rather fond of BBHMM, I gave this a go and found it to be fairly decent. Not the most amazing album I've heard but one I'd go back

to again.

Apparently the physical is out on Feb 5th!

I don't like how she's just paid complete dust to the singles she released last year :( FFS fits perfect in between Higher and Close To You, BBHMM could go in between Woo and Needed Me, possibly scrap AO but even that could have closed the album? Also the deluxe tracks are so good, I see Only If has been renamed "Goodnight Gotham" and that needs to be full-length. I have a suspicious feeling Anti Pt 2 is coming in November tho...

 

She should dual release her singles like The Weeknd is doing in the US.. Do one to Urban and one to Pop. Kiss It Better and Love On The Brain to Pop and Consideration / Desperado to Urban

This album is really good. Such a strong body of work! I'm just glad she managed to deliver. I will yearn for that major pop hit again, but for now I'm really happy with her just doing her own thing. Especially when she succeeds at it.

 

2 discs, Greatest Hits next year though please and bring the pop goodness back! *.*

11.99 feels so steep when she gave it away for free.

 

Is the iTunes quality any different to be free version? I didn't think it would be.

Close To You is absolutely incredible, possibly her best track since 2011 or 2012 :wub:
