That was always a risk with the big name releases circling the water recently!

 

Only ones we're missing are Adele and Rihanna and we'd have a full set of potential, any-time smashes.

I don't get why they should rush release it just because it has leaked. So what, they only had to wait 5 days to release and the hype will only be greater.

 

The case would be different if the release date would only be in a month or so :)

If it gives Klangkarussell a better chance at #1, then I support her early release :D

 

I think Applause could quite easily get to #1, it's not quite as hyped up as Born This Way was but with 5 days of sales in its first week it should be able to. I remember Born This Way sold something like 60,000 copies in its first day and a half so if Applause can match that it will certainly reach the top spot.

OMG just went into the U.S itunes chart, didn't realise Katy Perry had been released let alone #1 there. This is gonna be a big one. Wonder if this is what the record labels wanted all along for extra sales.

Katy already has Robin down to 0.57 and he's on course for 350k+. If Gaga releases, it will be very interesting! Katy is #1 in like 25+ countries.

I really really want Ellie to get #1, and Burn is amazing, but Applause has already hit me and my stanning loyalty is with Gaga. It is pretty annoying though that she can't release anything properly, why the need to a rush-release because a couple of clips leaked? :/

Hope Ellie can stay number one, its hard to call but it will be a shame if Ellie can't hold on but I'm not overly sold on the Lady GaGa track and if even One Direction can't get to number one with hype then hopefully she can get her first chart topper

It was played on Capital at 6pm, and Greg James played it on Radio 1 10 minutes ago.

How sure are we that it's gonna get an early release?

Everyone seems to be talking about an early release and she did this last time so I've just been assuming; she's the TYPE to do that.

It's released in the US tonight for definite and she says it will be followed up internationally "shortly". I actually hope she delays the UK release until Sunday/Monday but knowing her, we'll get it tomorrow or god forbid another FRIDAY release.

I don't think it will come out here before the US, and by the time it's midnight there we'll be well into Tuesday. I would assume it will be released on Wednesday... Giving Ellie a reasonably good head start!

Should the impossible commence and Gaga loses to Ellie - she'll make #1 the week after. Pretty easy peasy.

Poor, brave John Newman :( He will be out the top 10 soon then.
