This is awful. And why does everybody keep going on about the fact that it's 80's sounding? Is that honestly any surprise, Just Dance, Poker Face, Bad Romance, Alejandro, etc. were 80's sounding too. Her entire career sounds like a remake of Ace of Base, Madonna and ABBA. Lady Gaga needs to realize she's from the US, she's NOT from Sweden. Get over it woman. Wasn't she born in New York? Why's she doing this music then?

On the plus side, I think this is her 2nd ever single after You and I which actually features prominent drums!! :o

Who actually gives a f*** if there's drums in it or not?

Why is there no option for #11 or below that? even though i yhink it will be in the top 10 just because it's Lady Gaga there might be some other people who will think otherwise.
Wow Eric dislikes a major pop single from a female artist. Did not see that one coming at all!

Not as ridiculous as a guy called Jack not liking Jack.

After releasing 12 singles, most of which sound basically indistinguishable from each other, she could do something to change it up, no?

It obviously will not miss Top 10. Lets not be silly and let personal taste come into this.

I feel ashamed a song so terrible is named after me! :(

I'm not all that sold on it on first listen, but I felt the same about Born This Way, and that's probably amongst my favourites from her now.

I'm gonna say #3, she never seems to quite get her release strategy right and the excuse for 'the video is coming' didn't quite work out well for Born This Way, I REALLY hope this video isn't another pretentious, twelve minutes of nonsense, its what I came to really hate about her last era.

I think Roar only leaked on Friday (?) and the radio are already all over it, I'll be interested to see if this has the same effect, then I might have a better idea of how it would do.

Top 3, can't see it going to #1, I think it's pretty weak for her and won't turn stuff around in such a big way.

Make that two of us! One of the worst songs of the year.

Funny you should say that, just this morning I was proclaiming to anyone who'll listen that 3:05-3:09 in You & I is exactly the same song as 0:00-0:10 in Marry The Night.

They should've named the song after me, at least I'd appreciate it.

You and I was the only risky thing Lady Gaga has ever done in my opinion. She's always played it safe with dance-pop and electropop to get a long string of hits until You and I.

Oh my God the Bowie-esque verses are borderline incredible. The chorus ruins the amazingnes and makes the song sound messy. Why can GaGa only rarely get it just right?

"Come on let's blob" doesn't have the same ring to it.

#4 I think. I really don't see it going straight to #1 this week.... she was in an infinitely stronger position before 'Born This Way' and even that couldn't do it.
I really am liking this, quite catchy and a bit anthemic. Love her vocals in the verses especially. The lyrical matter / vocal production strikes me as less accessible than that of 'Born This Way', though, so I find it a bit difficult to imagine people latching on in a big way. Chorus could use just a bit more oomph for clubs, too. It's really hard to predict where it'll land, wouldn't be surprised with anything from #1-3, but nothing lower.
I think this will peak at #4 as well, but stick around for ages.
