August 20, 201311 yr LOL Hayzay, I think it's quite ironic that you're trolling in here and winding GaGa fans up (when they've asked you to stop) for no reason than to get a kick out of it for whatever reason, but it's a completely different story when you've been on the receiving end of it before in regards to Girls Aloud/Cheryl Cole. I would have thought you'd know better tbh.

I would have thought you'd know better tbh. I don't quite see what GA and Cheryl have to do with this? They have been criticised in the past, so since I am a fan of them, now I am not allowed to post opinion about other popstars when it's not positive? OKAAAAY. Anyway, as you say, there was none of you to stop the "haters" when they had a go at Cheryl for example, and god knows how harsh they could be, it was seen as "fine" by most people here to slag her off at any opportunity. My posts in this sub-forum are not that harsh and are NEVER mean. I respect Lady Gaga as a person and would never insult her or her fans here. Yet I can point out stuff that I don't like such as songs or some of her tweets for example. That's part of the game, I'm not on this forum only to stan for my idols, I'm also here for some good old discussions with different points of view, people shouldn't take anything too seriously on a forum. August 20, 201311 yr This thread is ludicrous. The woman is being harassed (essentially bullied) by a vile excuse for a man and we are dissecting the manner in which she spoke out about that. Really? No, revealing the text now is not ideal, but she would have been branded an attention-seeker at any time for doing so. Admittedly there's more strength to the argument now but it would happen and I'm sure she is aware. There's also no reason to believe that she's even being entirely rational right now. Were I her I think I'd be somewhat frazzled between all his shit and the stress of launching a new era. No, she has not acted about this in the ideal way (the ideal would have been posting a picture of his text when she received it), but not many do (especially when you're under as much pressure as this woman), and ignoring people will only get you so far. Perez is who people should be directing their ire at, and I can't believe anyone would see this and focus on Gaga not responding to it perfectly. Get some perspective, guys. Hayzayy I generally have quite a bit of respect for you and think people are unfair to you, but posting Perez' tweets is not on. Even if his allegations are true, he is not in the right. Harassment is never justified.
August 20, 201311 yr I'm not sure if many of you know about the statement Gaga made on the BTW Foundation's page yesterday, if not, it's definitely worth the read; I’ve said this to the fans time and time again, whether it be in person or in tweets, as well as the through the message and campaign of the Born This Way Foundation. My mother and I are passionate about tolerance, acceptance, and kindness, and I’ve made it a point early in my career to make it known that this is what I stand for as an artist. While it may be difficult at times to hear the things that people say and write about me, or the nature of the industry that builds us up to tear us down, I feel the need to address you all here on behalf of the Born This Way Foundation. Sending threats of any kind, using hateful or abusive language, and the provoking of others on the internet is not supported by me or anything that I stand for. What I’ve seen transpiring is wrong and upsetting to me, and I’ve made it very clear how I feel about equality and compassion. I know how angry you feel sometimes, and I know that when they say things about me you feel that they are saying them about you as well. But music is about love, and is about sharing in the magic of theater. Although pop culture and society have become more negative and critical of the artist over the years, by engaging in this negativity you are allowing it to spread. I ask you to take a pledge with me to continue the change toward positivity, and to recognize that this behavior is wrong. We are stronger than this. We know what we stand for, and what we stand for is bravery. I know this because what I see on the internet is not what I see at my shows. People deal with their insecurities in many different ways. The anonymous nature of social media has made it easy for many to vent their anger by bullying others with no recourse or accountability. But this is not a healthy way to handle your emotions. This is exactly what my mother and I aim to teach with the Born This Way Foundation. Promoting skill building and mental health awareness that provides another outlet for your feelings. Put it in your art, put it in your music, put it in your creativity. Stop the Drama, Start the Music. I also ask that Twitter and other social media platforms support this effort to monitor and control abusive and threatening language, as I don’t know that I am powerful enough to stop it myself. Please represent me and our community with the values we cherish and live by. I love you.
August 20, 201311 yr http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-23765905 here ya go callum you can SLEEP WELL NOW. Well at least she's tried now. Can't say there's any reason to blame her if the threats continue.
January 20, 201411 yr What does Perez Hilton actually do? He seems like he just piggybacks on other people's fame to me.
