The radio 1 live lounge album should sell a lot this week!

Whatd last years one sell?

It sold 33,922 copies. Here's the paragraph from that week's Music Week:

The seventh annual selection of recordings from the Live Lounge segment of Radio 1's weekday mornings show, BBC Radio 1's Live Lounge 2012 becomes the sixth to reach number one, debuting in pole position on sales of 33,922. Its 2011 equivalent debuted at number one exactly a year ago, on lesser sales of 27,392. The only regular volume from the series not to reach number one - Radio 1's Live Lounge Volume 3 - got to number two in 2008, as did a 2011 Best Of set. Overall sales of the series of 2,823,900 include a whopping 929,541 sales for the first - Radio 1's Live Lounge - since its 2006 release.

G'won Katy B! :cheer:

Don't forget Elvis Presley, TV special Friday night (ITV1) and its heavily on rotation during commercial breaks. ;)

True, although I think that may miss out on the Top 10. Probably go Top 20 though.

Looks like an easy 1-2-3 with Eminem, James and Tinie respectively. The Wanted might go top 5 as well, HOPE to see M.I.A. and Cut Copy do something with their new albums!

Do we know if that XF album is going to chart in the proper album chart or the compilation chart?

Will be the compilation chart, as there isn't a single artist that is present throughout the album.

Eminem's album doesn't seem to be out until Nov 5th, so although he'll certainly have done a lot of pre-orders, he's still going to have one day's less sales then other albums, so don't be surprised if he's not number one in the first mid charts of the week

Leona's Christmas album is now available to pre-order! Hopefully it'll chart soon. :)

Edit: Currently #1029 on the album chart.

James Arthur might surprise us here!
Leona should release her album mid November, get a few extra slow sales and then promote which would drive sales in the Christmas period.

Leona's pre-order up to #157 yay!

Also, Avril Lavigne #7. :o Surprised it's that high!

Missing a day of sales is not going to make any impact on Eminem, I think he'll probably still be #1 even on Wednesday and definitely on Sunday.

An all new top 4 could be possible this week, Arcade Fire's sales are likely to drop quite a bit so The Wanted won't need to do too much to take #4. The Overtones should be easily top 10 too if they're there on iTunes (and there are a few other top 10 contenders that wouldn't be doing much on iTunes like Shane Filan, Elvis and André Rieu). Surprised to see Avril in the top 10 here, I don't think she'll make it overall but it's possible I guess.

Thats what i said lol, like Buble did 2 years ago & Rod Stewart last year.

Missing a day of sales is not going to make any impact on Eminem, I think he'll probably still be #1 even on Wednesday and defiitely on Sunday.

Whens that Elvis show on ITV which was meant to go along with this album release? That could boost his sales, but it might not be for a few weeks yet, they usually start those sort of things in the run up to xmas!

The 'Nation's Favourite Elvis Songs' TV Special is on from 9pm to 10.30pm, on ITV1 this coming Friday - 8th November.

His Album of the same name is in 2 versions - a 20 Hits 1 CD version, & a 'Deluxe' 2 CD, 43 Hits version.
