September 10, 201311 yr Author There's a reason why people like Gina top the weekly votes but don't end up winning the whole show and that's probably because the general public (ie. NOT internet loons) would rather a nice and safe housemate win over the more entertaining. It's baffling and i don't agree with it completely because i see it as a TV show first and foremost but not everyone does. Most of the general public couldn't care less about who's entertained them the most i don't think, they're a lot more fickle and would rather see an underdog win. There's also the people that don't like these big characters that haven't been offended by the quieter characters who would rather see them win over the big ones. It's like if Sallie was in the final two against Sam last series, ALL of us bar Calum would probably end up voting for Sam to win even if he did less; the same thing just happens with most of the general public and the housemates that stand out unfortunately.
September 10, 201311 yr Just imagining Sallie in the top 2 right now *.* (where she should have been :snif:)

September 10, 201311 yr Ultimate Big Brother II: Sallie's Revenge *.* No chance in hell. Sallie is over.
September 10, 201311 yr Hopefully one them will do a Denise and win even though they were hated on the forums.

September 10, 201311 yr It's much better than that tattooed bitch spouting verbal diarrhoea over everyone. Is that supposed to be an insult because she has body art? :P
September 10, 201311 yr It's much better than that tattooed bitch spouting verbal diarrhoea over everyone. :D Sam back would be very entertaining for my eyes. ;) But really, I did enjoy him in other ways throughout the series, he made me laugh a lot and he did stand up for himself, I just wish he got more screentime. Abz I feel has done a lot less than what Sam did, so maybe wouldn't be WORTHY of a winner in terms of entertainment, but deserves it more than someone like Charlotte IMO.
September 10, 201311 yr Is that supposed to be an insult because she has body art? :P No it's me speaking the truth and her body ain't art. Get over your bummage of the bint.
September 10, 201311 yr Calum, I enjoy talking to you but you are becoming insufferable on the Big Brother threads! Sorry to say.
September 11, 201311 yr I don't exactly understand how. Would it be because I maybe don't share the same opinion as the entirety of the forum in regards to favourite housemates; and the threads normally end up clogged by this, that and the next thing being discussed about a certain housemate because most (if not nearly all) of the forum dislike her (say 'her' for the sake of making it easier, we both know that if this is the root of the problem, Sallie and Carol are the two main subjects), and me finding myself having to defend them because in some cases it seems like all of you stop at nothing just to have a dig at them, or to make them out to be a hell of a lot worse than they actually are, when some of the information presented isn't even true in the slightest. I suppose being potentially the only person who had a strong fondness for Sallie, and continues to have one for Carol, not every post is going to be me agreeing with other members because of what Carol may have said or done, or what Sallie had said in the series - but sometimes the discussion just spirals out to outside of the house - or into more personal matters where it begins to touch on their own personal lives, or their appearance, or how they have portrayed themselves outside of the house, and how very much that contrasts to their behaviour inside the house, etc. I can think of a fair few examples off the top of my head where some of you have just resorted to (take Sallie for example) referring to her in the worst ways possible just because she was a noisy, in-your-face character for the small time that she was in the house before being evicted. It's hard to comprehend how some of you can feel such a desirable amount of hate for one person because of silly things that they may have said or done in the house (I'm not exactly one to say that I like everybody in the house, and don't dislike them for whatever and any reason), but people do things and say things under that sort of pressure, and act in a certain ways. They react to different situations, and it may or may not be completely different to how they would normally behave outside of the house. It's perfectly okay to judge their character from what you have seen in the house, and criticise them for that, but sometimes I feel that when there is somebody who actually looks up to them, and admires them, or feels passionately about them, it becomes more about targeting the person who has that type of fondness for said person, and making them out to be a weakling because they share an opinion that is of the very small minority, instead of actually getting your point across about the person whom you apparently have a strong dislike for. I'm probably headed off in the wrong direction here, or have said more than I need to/should have, but I just think people have become so wrapped up in the show, and have found themselves hating particular characters that it actually has such a horrible brush-off effect on the people that they discuss it with on here. Obviously it's often, if not always, forgotten about after because it's just a reality TV show, and there are more important matters to worry about, but at the time it's just a bit overwhelming, and when there are that many people judging you, or speaking to you in a specific way, or making personal remarks to you, or trying to wind you up because you are a fan of (be it largely appreciative, or small) one of these housemates that is hated by the majority, and it just becomes really quite tedious. And I expect this will probably spark a sarcastic or undiplomatic comment or two because somebody is trying to justify the way they feel when they are spoken to by the majority who share the same opinion of a housemate, and try and fend off the minority and make them see all the evil, and inject poison into the good that the fans do see in them. Beginning to understand exactly how it must have felt for you to read what you were reading when everybody (myself included) were saying what they were saying about Hazel. Hmm...
September 11, 201311 yr omg an essay (probably about how Sallie is super amazing) :D Sam back would be very entertaining for my eyes. ;) But really, I did enjoy him in other ways throughout the series, he made me laugh a lot and he did stand up for himself, I just wish he got more screentime. Abz I feel has done a lot less than what Sam did, so maybe wouldn't be WORTHY of a winner in terms of entertainment, but deserves it more than someone like Charlotte IMO. Don't you have like a BOYFRIEND? JUST AN ENGLISH SLAG
September 11, 201311 yr 1. make them out to be a hell of a lot worse than they actually are, when some of the information presented isn't even true in the slightest. 2. but sometimes the discussion just spirals out to outside of the house - or into more personal matters where it begins to touch on their own personal lives, or their appearance, or how they have portrayed themselves outside of the house 1. omg they do voice overs pretending like HMs say things when in fact it's just a script and a voice actor :o 2. DING DING DING BINGO! *cough* CHARLOTTE IS JUST A GEORDIE SLAG *cough*
September 11, 201311 yr It's hard to comprehend how some of you can feel such a desirable amount of hate for one person because of silly things that they may have said or done in the house (I'm not exactly one to say that I like everybody in the house, and don't dislike them for whatever and any reason), but people do things and say things under that sort of pressure, and act in a certain ways. Well I find it hard to comprehend how you absolutely hate Sophie (from CBB) and Jackie (from BB). You really loved Sophie while she was in the house and she never really acted any differently when she returned last night. Jackie never did anything really horrible or evil, she was only acting like any mother in the house would act, it must have been hard anyway with no one else there who was around her age. I can understand someone disliking both of them but hate is very, very strong and suddenly switching your mind on Sophie to such an extreme opinion is quite strange.
September 11, 201311 yr Oh Pavel, as IF you'd stop enjoying eye candy on the TV if you had a boyfriend. :kink: Calum, part of the issue I think is that you're a little too extreme with certain things. That hate for Michael (when he was ACTING) and Jackie was a bit unfounded, sure, you can dislike them, but you acted as if they'd just murdered a load of schoolkids. :/ And the mass love for Sallie/Carol can be a tad annoying too cause you can't seem to say a bad word about either, it's really biased. You all know I loved Sam in BB but I'm happy to admit he barely did anything for a few weeks...
September 11, 201311 yr Of all of the people who post in the BB forum, you are the most hateful, I'm pretty sure you've called about 6 of the housemates c**ts - so that is HUGELY hypocritical, I'm afraid. You've repeatedly called Charlotte a slag (quite a hateful term), referred to many housemates include a pretty harmless Sam as 'vile'. I didn't want to reply but your whole post reeks of hypocrisy. I'm not trying to be attacking here if I come across so, it's just my opinion. I don't even think the problem is that you have opposing views. I was completely the opposite to Pavel & Cal through the entirety of BB15, yet I still had a great amount of respect for them and I felt that the way they argued the point of their favourite was more often than not, articulate and well thought out. You don't have to agree with everyone, I didn't agree about Joseph's looning of Sam either. But if you disagree with someone, a lot of the times your views lack any development (often because they're pretty much relaying what one of your favourites has said), they include lots of name-calling (this could come across hypocritical because I did frequently call Hazel a homewrecker, but I'm pretty sure that's one of the only moments of recent times where I have done this) which makes you seem a little petulant and you reply to almost every piece of 'hatred' towards your favourite in an inflammatory manner. You may think that it's us that's getting too wrapped up in Big Brother, but of all the people who comment, it's you who seems to get more riled up, personal and nasty about it all. It seems to be you more than anyone who hates someone opposing YOUR view. Not everyone has to like Charlotte, so if you think my rant last night was purely about someone disliking Charlotte, you're completely wrong. Bal and Joseph openly say they don't like Charlotte and I give them a jokey BOOO or pull a face at them, but opinions are opinions. It's how they're put across, often you show so little respect to people that you're never going to be shown any back in a response. This is actually me being diplomatic and not just slagging you off incase you think I'm still "angry", I just think you need to open your eyes a little. I can openly admit I was very brash through Hazel's stint and Cal's post absolutely makes me realise this, you just don't seem to have any awareness whatsoever with the sort of things you say that come across awfully patronising.
