Fresh from Dido’s rapturously-received guest appearances during Eminem’s headline sets at last weekend’s Reading and Leeds Festivals - where they performed ‘Stan’ together (video: http://youtu.be/S5h1i3FoEro) - she will releases a career-defining greatest hits collection on November 25th. Since 1999, Dido has released four critically-acclaimed, chart-topping albums that have together sold more than 30 million copies. She is among the most successful female artists the UK has ever produced, and her first two albums, ‘No Angel’ and ‘Life For Rent’, remain two of the UK’s biggest selling albums of all-time. The album’s tracklisting will include ‘Thank You’, ‘Here With Me’, ‘White Flag’, ‘Life For Rent’ and 'No Freedom'. More info coming soon...

I suppose this is finishing out her current Sony deal for her to move labels or release independently. I imagine this will sell quite well particularly if it has the addition of some new songs.

"hints at getting this for my mum for Christmas" ^_^ It's about time she releasing a greatest hits tbh.

Edited by Rob!

"White Flag", "Thank You" and "Here With Me" all on one album?! *.* Squee! I'm so jealous that my sister saw her during Eminem's set at Leeds Festival, more so than any of the other acts that she saw :(
This will perform well in the fourth quarter and will be bought for Christmas presents for many.

I love me some Dido, but I already have three of her albums so (of course) won't be buying this. 'Here with Me' remains one of my favorite songs

'Don't Believe in Love' and 'Let Us Move On' better be included.

FOUR critically-topping chart-topping albums? lol bitch no the last two never reached the top spot in the UK and Girl Who Got Away didn't even top anything (according to wiki).

Still fab to have a GH album as she was absolutely incredible between 1998 and 2004 <3

Oh so the last album flopped so badly they decided to release a GH then Dido would sink into oblivion like Sophie Ellis-Bextor by releasing an independent album once every fifty year? :(

She should represent everything I hate in a music artist but what a lovely voice. The singles from the first two eras sort of DEFINE the time.

I imagine this will be a big Xmas seller but doesn't most of the country own her first two (and only relevant) records?!

I don't see it selling well precisely because everybody and their dog bought "No Angel" and "Life for Rent" already. Changing the CD once or skipping from one playlist to another while in the mood for a Dido session is not that mammoth of a challenge.

Will definitely be getting my hands on this, Dido has some stunning songs in her back-catalogue - hello to 'White Flag', 'Life for Rent' and 'No Freedom'.

I reckon this will be a good seller over Christmas, perhaps similar to Kelly Clarkson's, but then disappear come the New Year (although still be a decent trickle-seller).

But how often do 'lazy oh mum will like that' records do well?

Hmmm, as most of you know, I LOVE Dido but a greatest hits seems odd because she only really has about 5 hits. I'll buy it anyway though.

I always reason that greatest hits are a blinding opportunity to re-showcase some of your lesser remembered singles. When Girls Aloud released their first one in 2006 the amount of people that gave a positive reevaluation of the likes of 'Life Got Cold' and 'Wake Me Up' was ridiculous (in a good way).
To be honest I don't even think this is an album people would buy for their moms. I think it will bomb unless one of the new songs is a reasonable hit (very unlikely :()

I'm so buying this if it includes the following:

Here With Me

Thank You

Hunter

One Step Too Far

White Flag

Life For Rent

Don't Leave Home

Sand In My Shoes

One Step Too Far and Stan being included would make it a more interesting purchase but I doubt either will be on it. It's the sort of hits compilation that I'd buy if I saw it for less than a fiver but I doubt I'd pay full price for it, short of those songs being included.
Releases like stan and one step too far need inclusion to make this album as appealing as possible.

This better not be the cover for the GH :/

Anyway, Dido is my Queen and I hope she can sell lots of those so she can go straight into writing a 5th album.

But how is it any different to those NOW compilations though? A bunch of successful (some more, some less) tracks all thrown into one lazy album and resold to people who probably already bought most of the singles.
