There was plenty of fair warning that your votes would not be counted past the deadline of 2pm on Saturday. As far as I am concerned David did more than enough to publicise that it was not a midnight deadline and that votes would not be accepted after that deadline.

 

Not voting in the semi-finals does not affect your participation for next month. It is ONLY failure to vote in the final that prohibits you from entering the following month.

And with that I'm drawing a line under this. Your votes will not be accepted, accept that and double check the deadline next time a voting thread goes up. We really don't give much of a shit how other online contests are run, they aren't BJSC.

Was just trying to wrap my head around being shut out of the Semifinal voting - by my own fault YES.

This was truly by accident and unintentional I even PM'd Randy for seperate mp3s of the entries to help me with my decision, unlike others I need a lot of time to decide on my points! I was so busy with listening and downloading the songs I never took note of the deadline. I wish an exception can be made just this once, it really was AN accident and a misassumption. I mean it's just one set of votes PLEASE?

Failing to read a deadline properly isn't grounds for an extension on a deadline, not after you've had a reminder about it...

Yes, true. I don't see many people voting for it though given its odds and predictions... So i'm waiting for a DNQ result either way (hopefully!).

omg DRAMZ. I was out all day today so made a mental note to vote this morning which I did remembering the deadline is not 23:59. Seriously though, there have been reminders sent to everyone and Silas even said in the thread within like a couple of days that the deadline wasn't the usual midnight kind.

I'm so PISSED. Sorry but it really isn't like I didn't want to vote, I've been listening to the entries SO SO much and now it's all for ziltch because of a MIDDAY deadline accident I never took note of. I could send my votes in now but still let's just punish other countries for the sake of punishing them <3

 

Ridiculous. It's been allowed in the past, if it was someone who has barely been active this week I'd understand but my case was purely accidental, feels as if it's just an opportunity to employ regulation leadership. I'm so put off right now, sorry I've put so much time into this and now I get treated like THIS :drama:

I was caught out by a midday deadline once but I'm sorry to say I think a 2PM deadline is pretty fair does to exclude the votes, especially if it would change the result.
