Tinie Tempah has premiered his brand new single 'Children Of The Sun' with guest vocals by John Martin

This is so much better than that 'Trampoline' mess. Really liking it a lot.

The song starts at 0.55.

Wow, this is amazing!!! Kind of like Holy Grail. Isn't John Martin the guy who sings on Swedish House Mafia songs? Does that mean one of them produced this song? It doesn't really sound like them though.
It's really good and FAR more commercial than 'Trampoline' but I would be lying and if I didn't say I was a bit disappointed. Although it's good it is not at all experimental and is clearly trying to be Written In The Stars Part II (and it pulls it off well), I really wanted something a bit more edgy, like 'Trampoline' offered but didn't quite deliver in complete fullness.

It definitely is just trying to be 'Written In The Stars' but I'm LIKING this on first listen.

I was sure it was introduced on the radio as 'with John Newman' and I was thinking that didn't sound like him :P

This is really really good, I'm already preferring it to 'Written In The Stars', anything with John Martin's vocals tends to be great. Hopefully it can be similarly big.
This might be more commercial or radio-friendly but IMO Trampoline is way catchier and superior.
I am liking this on first listen. I'm a big fan of John Martin's vocals and have loved the SHM songs he's featured in. Also, this is SO much better than 'Trampoline' which remains one of the worst songs of the year for me.
Well it's a bit beige to me. He went from 'Trampoline' to this, ah well. Hope this new song doesn't at least outpeak 'Trampoline' (but I'm sure it will have more longevity than that).
I'm loving this...I feel another number 1 is on the way for him! So will this be out at the same time as the album ot will it have a seperate release?

I quite like this, but I have the same kind of problem. It's good enough; just a little beige. I loved Trampoline for it being a little different and not commercial, but I guess it's a far better move to follow it up with something like this than something else uncommercial.

Decent enough video but even parts of it also feel like "Written In The Stars" with the skylines. Still loving the song.

And this is out the week before the album btw.

It definitely feels like his relevance has slipped a little and whilst on paper this should probably be a #1 single, and certainly would have been three years ago, I'm sensing #3-5 for it and not a particularly long chart run.

Anthemic chorus though, I do like it way more than Trampoline.

It was always quite obvious that he had something far more commercial up his sleeve for his 'proper' comeback (See also JT Suit & Tie/Mirrors situation and Coldplay with Every Teardrop/Paradise.) I suspect after Trampoline fizzled out, his best bet was doing a Written In The Stars clone.

I suspect this will do well, it could even get an X Factor performance (if they're on at the time, I dunno) and could go to number 1. I can't help but be a bit let down just how transparent this whole release is but I'd be lying if I said I didn't like it - John Martin is brilliant as ever.

Trampoline never went anywhere for me so on a selfish level I'm quite glad he's back to the Written Into The Stars stuff, that has been what he's good at in the past and John Martin is great as always. Growing on me quite well.

No innovation of course. :( Not that that's a bad thing right now, to keep him relevant, and hopefully he'll have some more risky stuff later on to keep me interested, if he had come out with another song like Trampoline I think I would have completely gone off him.

This sounds epic, such an anthemic chorus! So glad he's gone for WITS part 2 after the awful Trampoline. Release date seems to be 28th October and it looks like his main competition that week could be Fatboy Slim so I'm gonna stick my neck out and say this is a potential #1!
Decent enough video and it does seem to be very much a replica of WITS. However whilst it's his 2nd best single for me it doesn't go anywhere near the excellence of Written In the Stars. That will live on forever as the CLASSIC it so rightly deserves.

Added to Radio 1's playlist today (quite far ahead of release) so this should build up some decent airplay by the time of release.
