You see, for me Jessie J has been a substitute Katy Perry for some time now, ever since Domino. But like a guy on r1 said, something like, 'Jessie J next. What you mean she's been overshadowed by Katy Perry and GaGa?!' She released it to radio as they did and got completely overshadowED. A substitute Kay Perry but we already have Katy in the charts right now. At least her voice sounds better here than it did on the try-hard other song, 'Errrf arrr geeer hayyyard leerr meer terrl yaar thaa its w-y-o-rth irrt'

For me it's like comparing cherries to banana. Some like cherries some like bananas, and some like both, but if I hate one of those fruits I would not compare them to each other. This is very narrow-minded.

It's just Michael! using every comparison he/she can to try to denigrate everyone that isn't Lady Gaga.

Something is so wrong in this world when 'It's My Party' is sitting at #4 and 'Music To Make Boys Cry' is nowhere to be seen.

Avicii not doing badly at all considering there doesn't seem to be much hype around this release. WOO for a first top ten hit for Salem Al Fakir, shame it will be uncredited. Not particularly a fan of It's My Party, it's catchy but incredibly annoying due to the practically inaudible wailing in the chorus. What a joy to have it in the top three!

I think they're compared because they're both very successful, they both do adult contemporary music, they both don't get much media attention, and they both don't really sell off their looks (although you could argue they do but in different ways).
