Been watching the Athletics World Championships in Doha, nobody in the stands, very bad support from locals

Just watched a bit of athletics on the television now. I prefer swimming (I used to swim a lot in days gone by).

Had some dental work done (couple of fillings), phew. Don't need to go back to dentist for a year.

There is a bigger crowd there tonight, full of Ethiopians I think , they do cheer on , I love their attitude, they are great supporters

Hope the dental work didn't hurt too much Flatcap

Hey folks!

Tess knows that I was in Ireland recently.

Unfortunetely we hadn't met each other but I absolutely loved Dublin! One of the friendliest place I have ever been!

Very comfortable since my coming to the end of trip. It was a business trip but all of my colleagues were so grateful to the city and people around.

I hope to return there in a future.

The Brexit debacle continues ...

'

So we are going to have three borders now..one in the middle of the Irish sea, one in the North away from the' actual border' one in the South away from the 'actual border '

& O Yeah they have to get the agreement of the local assembly ( Government ) in Northern Ireland except they have not sat tgether for the last 3 years because of disagreements

& O Yeah the majority of folks in NI voted to remain except that Westminster is relying on the Unionists support in Parliament so will pamper to their needs at all times

& O Yeah the majority of people in the United Kingdom voted to leave , what about their rights ( bear in mind that is what happens in EU referendums , they just keep shoving them out until they get the result that they want, happened here on many occasions )

I can see it all working out just fine

I was out protesting on the streets in the lashing rain yesterday, the EPA ( Environmental Protection Agency  ) have granted a licence to a company on the outskirts to the city to burn waste material some of which is highly toxic , these agencies are backed by the government , why do they accommodate them at our expense , they cannot be allowed to get away with it .

Good for you Tess ^_^

What these pollutants do to our lungs is anybody's guess.

Gads....what a crazy 10 days I've just been through, and my 'fun' isn't over yet....Wednesday last, 2 October me dad went to a foot doctor about an ingrown toe nail...next I know, I get a call from mum that dad's in the ER....seems dad passed out or had a seizure of some sort at the foot doc's office, and taken by ambulance to the ER, which so happened there was one across the street from his office...there was an aborted attempt at a coronary bypass, and a permanent pacemaker put in on 3 October...also turns out dad had a UTI along with septicemia, which was cleared up with 6 days of strong antibiotics...dad's now in a rehab center, and there's no telling how long he's going to be in rehab...they want to build up his strength before letting him come home...mum and I are both exhausted from all the running around we've done these past 10 days, between the hospital and rehab center....me older brother and sister-in-law came down this past week to see how me dad's doing, and help mum with some stuff around the house, for which she's grateful, as am I...time to try and get some more sleep, if I can...

Sounds a traumatic time Biggie, hope your dad is on the mend soon.

I am actually having a peaceful few days off with no appointments for the first time...
