What a great tribute

Did you see Glam Rock early 1970's the BBC last night , it was on BBC 4 .... I loved the music, hair, clothes, just fab... artists included T Rex Roxy Music, David Bowie, Alice Cooper, Suzie Quatro, Queen, Elton John, Sparks , & many more & a special performance by Cilla Black & the beautiful Marc Bolan who tragically got killed at a young age

Yes we watched this Tess. It's been on before.

I love all the songs and very happy memories. Marc Bolan wasn't even thirty years old when he died. :(

IIRC, he's a member of something called the '27 Club', the club mentions singers/celebrities who've all passed at age 27, i.e. Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix, and I think even Jim Morrison of The Doors.....there's a whole host of others in this club I'm forgetting....

I thought he was 27. I remember when he died. Just a month after Elvis. 1977. Terrible shame.

Really sad to read that Dolores O' Riordan of The Cranberries has died, she is a local girl around these parts , another soul gone too young

I only know the Cranberries for that one song Linger - but what a beauty it is.

Hello. :hi:

First of my days off technically, I ended up cleaning the garage and vacuuming the house. Can I go back to work for a rest? :heehee:

I did it in a wrong thread I think Tess. I was rambling.

I asked you if U2 were your favourite band and then I asked you what your second favourite were.

I said Wings were mine. Beach Boys were my second favourite followed by either ELO or Madness, depending on how I was feeling. :)

I always remember years ago my neigbour got her dog a real severe haircut in the middle of winter, I happened to call to the house & the dog was standing in the corner of the room looking dead miserable , he was obviously frozen with the cold, I got a blanket & put him on the couch with the blanket over him & he looked at me a if to say 'thanks a million ' & I do not even pwn a dog & never have but I do like animals ...
