I am not really aware of the rules, despite I got some explanations back in the good times of RW forums. I understand that you have to do something worthy for the society and for Britain. Looking at the honour list since years I am wondeing if they give it away for popularity. Some choices I cannot understand.

However, it passed Robbie in his hey days as the monarchy was more stiff back then. These days it is well special for foreigners to watch. Robbie though is tied to some very Russian experiences. With the political climate now, this will not help. The UK has not even given Abramovich a new visa despite he owns Chelsea.

 

And he is not very political correct in anything else too. The bit of charity...who cares (this is irony)

 

I am not sure how it works either Elisabeth but Robbie has done lads for charity all throughout his career and given his whole life to the music & entertainment industry so I think definitely deserves to be honoured in some way , I doubt it bothers him though. he is what he is warts & all & I wouldn't want to change him
