IIRC, Robbie's been in the top 10 Artiste forums for quite some time this past year.....I've seen an occasional appearance by Take That in the same ratings a lot less....I like Take That, don't get me wrong....

Robbie himself is not that bad, which is why he'd remain the 'home forum'. It would just involve moving Take That's topics into here (and maybe a refresh of the pinned topics to stop everything being so confusing). I don't know how much community crossover there is, how many of you guys post in or look at the Take That forum?

I don't know about the stats, I'd have to get that from a higher place.

Anyway, the really inactive forums have gone, so there's going to be a pause now while we let the new AFs settle in - so it's not that immediate.

No interaction really if I'm honest . I have never got that much involved in TT discussions as I do not take much interest unless Robbie is doing something with TT. Has anyone asked the members over on TT what they think

This Robbie forum could do with some tidying up though , seems to be duplication of some stuff , might give us the incentive to get some new threads going

Other than 'Progress' chatter, I don't think there's any "community crossover". Although that's not to say there might not be in the future. :)

If they're to merge can you please keep the threads separate? I can't be dealing with all the Gary versus Robbie rubbish and who is better than who. It does my head in and has been going on since 1996 .

The Robbie forum has been in the top ten artists forums for months now. Is it all the "older" artists that are being re-vamped in favour of the younger ones that no one will remember in five years time? :P

Imagine the outcry if the Girls Aloud forum were merged and we're five places ahead of them?

<_<

I had a look on the TT forum & see no discussion about this subject, surely someone has mentioned it to them that this could be happening

I cannot see it working tbh ...maybe of you split the forum in two & have the top section RW & the bottom section TT & then of we want to mingle we can

I want no hassle either or headaches either way .. I come on here for a bit of light hearted fun & want to keep it that way so please think carefully about it

In fairness Laura that is the way things are nowadays , a throwaway society

We are lucky that they decided to keep Robbie , we have to be greatful

Girls aloud no longer exist Laura , did nobody mention it :P

See, the other option is, like I did with Elvis/Justin/U2 (which I didn't post a warning for either, they had been inactive for months and years and would have gone ages ago had we started the shakeup earlier), to just empty Take That into the genre forums. Thing is, the Take That forum is fairly dead, there's about three members talking to each other about once every two weeks. Or a new forum would be created (but that's more complicated and doesn't address the problem of inactive forums). The only reason the merger was suggested was because the artists are related, if there is an issue with that for you guys and it causes you hassle then we won't go ahead with it.

The forum wants to look fresh and new, to attract new members. The demographic we mostly are is going to appreciate the newer artists. No one was coming here for an Elvis Presley forum :P Apparently Robbie's all fine though.

Also, if no one remembers these artists in 5 years time (which I do doubt), their forums will be long gone by then.

The forum is still there though Tess isn't it?

How do you know this? Did Elvis not have a number one album last year as did RW? ^_^

I'm not being awkward :) - it is part of quite an interesting discussion though about who these forums are directed at though.

Not just for youngsters is what I'm saying I guess. :)

I just want to say thanks folks, I see we have 15 users on board tonight, something that I have never seen before so every cloud has a silver lining

Now all you gotta do is post something & we will get to the top of the AR forum all in one night  :P

I appreciate the fact that such a forum like yours actually exists , I use FB & Twitter but it's very difficult to have any kind of discussion on those sites . I understand that you want to appeal to a younger audience & put forward artists that they would follow hence the changes you want to make

I would love to draw in more members but folks have no interest anymore & seemed to have moved on . I enjoy this forum & hope it continues

I feel as though the Take That and Robbie merge is suggested because Robbie was a member of Take That and did reunite with them... It really isn't that much of a big deal so I would appreciate it if you guys wouldn't go apeshit at management for the suggestion
It's the community that clearly matters here, my only suggestion is that the forum has a subforum like p!nk does dedicated to the community from each forum

In the normal course of events I don't do apeshit but this is Robbie & TT you are talking about ... B-)

Do you want outright war & handbags at dawn

Anways it would never work unless you stick a Brexit border right down the middle to keep the sides apart :P

I never post on the TT forum & I doubt the folks over there ever post on here

& No I am not going to give out to whoever came up with the idea ;)

Can you sort something out in the Retro lounge that would keep everyone happy ...
