Joey just gets even better as the days go on, and Lucy remains amazing. :wub: But Rebecca bloody Adlington. I actually like Amy but Rebecca just looks like a jealous bitch. Get her doing some trials please.

I really don't think you guys are picking up on what Rebecca and Lucy were trying to say. They don't have a problem with nor are they jealous with Amy, they just have issues

with the whole beauty and pageant world in general.

And I thought Rebecca was spot on, Amy most likely has no idea what it's like to be tormented and picked on for her looks because she fits the stereotypical image of what

"beautiful" is.

I didn't even see the discussion about beauty pageants or whatever it was. It's just so obvious that Rebecca has something against Amy because she's better looking than her, and her FACE when Amy was massaging Joey... It just had jealousy written all over it.

I don't think Amy is better looking tbh, I much prefer Rebecca.

I had a very similar look to Rebecca when I watched that massage, and it wasn't jealousy I was feeling, it was nausea.

But its not Amy's fault that she fits into that stereotype so they shouldn't be judging her. Even if she wasn't a beauty queen, Rebecca would've still had a problem. Rebecca is obviously very jealous of her since she got insecure and uncomfortable with her giving Joey a massage when he turned hers down and when Amy squeezed in between her and Matthew and she stormed off because Amy 'pushed her off' when there was clearly enough room.

Seriously? I find him the most boring thing in there. He's so fake - I mean being thick is one thing but to pretend to be thick ... whats the point in that? He's asking us to believe he can't tell the time, can't tie his shoes, can't blow his nose, doesn't think he washed his face right ... I hate to think what his toilet habits are. Who goes to the dunny to wipe his arse? I liked Mark Wright a few years back (at least he was nice to look at - in that he looked like a man - and was fairly entertaining) but Joey is none of these things.

But Lucy has done some glamour work (including some topless) which I'm assuming she did to attract! Not really much different to Amy taking part in a beauty pageant. Don't get me wrong - I like Lucy but I think she was at the very least a bit blunt there.

Yeah, I didn't really like Lucy last night. I felt really sorry for Amy with the way Lucy was being quite blunt with her opinions, almost making Amy feel guilty for people wanting boob jobs and what not, which I thought was a bit harsh. I agreed with the points she was making, I just didn't like how she was putting them across to Amy.

 

I did feel sorry for Rebecca though - I don't think it was anybody's fault necessarily, but when you're so conscious about your image, it just is a sore point. So, yeah, while I felt bad for Amy, I also felt bad for Rebecca.

 

On the subject of Joey - going in there, he was my favourite, but I'm tiring of him already, not gonna lie. :(

Some of it can be quite irritating, but he's just generally a very lovely, caring person. I do agree though that Mark Wright was far more good looking and entertaining.

I think Rebecca has a problem with her own looks, not Amy's, and I really don't think she's done anything to suggest otherwise. In fact I think she's made it perfectly clear at every point that it's not Amy herself but instead that the definition of 'beauty' makes her feel inadequate.

 

I thought all of them came across perfectly fine, including Amy as she was refreshingly willing to discuss the pros and cons of what she does.

Rebecca's been acting like a knob towards Amy for no reason! When she said Amy pushed her out the way that was complete rubbish, she did no such thing!

Rebecca has been a massive disappointment and certainly not worth being the second highest paid celebrity in there. I find her very, very needy and if she was going to be exempt for most of the trials - what was the point in inviting her? Having said that - the editing of the show has got worse and worse over the years with this year's being the lousiest. Apart from Joey - we've seen barely anything of the others. I know its not Joey's fault that he's been selected to do all but two of the trials so far - but I remember a time when coverage of the BTT's didn't take up over half the show. I remember talks (and a bit of bitching) around the campfire, more coverage of stuff OUTSIDE of the trials, and generally the not-forcing-of-one individual down people's throats.

 

I don't like the way the program makers seem to have singled out two people to be the villains in this. OK - Matthew is a bit of a grumpy old man at best of times - but he also has the potential to be the funniest one in there, and Lucy - who as far as I can see has done nothing to warrant the constant criticism she's getting - particularly from the morons on the after show.

 

Back to Joey (and believe it or not - I'm sure he's a nice, harmless enough person in real life) I can't believe that someone this boring and this inane can be as popular as he is - has the human intellect gone down so much in the last few years or so?

The bitching about Lucy is really quite tedious now. I've not even been watching the show recently, but am aware she's apparently been getting a lot of flack for actually SPEAKING HER MIND and just being a normal person.

 

Rebecca needs to go though. Completely agree with the idea of WHY even put her in if she's excluded from most on medical grounds?!

Well you can't really judge if you've not been watching it. I wanted to be a fan of her as I love Chas in Emmerdale but there's something about her I really don't like. Wouldn't mind seeing her leave in the first few.

Well considering there's a fair few articles out there about what's been going on (which is better than boring yourself watching all of the show) - how not? :lol:

The best way to make a judgement is to see it through your own eyes, rather than just read about it online through a separate source.
