The first & second 'chorus' to this really takes away from the track in general, its very weak and the verses and especially the 'get your back off the wall' section are much better without it. I'll wait to former a proper opinion on this, but on first listen, I actually think this style this works quite well with them.

This is probably their poorest single yet, even moreso than 'Change Your Life'.

Where is the chorus? This does not go anywhere at all or have anything to it.

I'm sure it'll get a decent enough peak due to it being the lead single and the inevitable X-Factor slot but I'm certain this will not be an enduring hit. It'll probably have a chart run similar to 'DNA' is lucky.

LOL

This is clearly their Biology guys. Just watch it happen in front of your own eyes.

And anyone who says "urgh why are they releasing this when it won't do well in the charts!" can get a big huge virtual slap from me.
This is pretty appauling, DNA remains their only listenable song for me.

Completely agree Regina. Wings was ok for a week or so too but the rest were just downright annoying.

I do want to like them/this because i was a fan of them on the show (behind Misha of course) but this goes nowhere.

This is brilliant, I hope the album is in a similar style as I found their debut got old really quick.

I wouldn't go that far. Girls Aloud benefited from a very dogged fanbase, and were known for innovation at the time. This is a bit random, 'Biology' was expected (to a certain extent at least).

However, I really quite like the song. I don't really get the complaints about the lack of an 'anthemic' chorus - the song clearly doesn't ask for it. It's got a lot of personality (something the DNA singles hugely lacked) in it and actually shows them bringing something new to the table that isn't aimed at 12 year olds. Could see it doing well in a 'top 3 with OK longevity' way.

I'm actually not sure what to make of it :( For now, I like it but it's nowhere near as instant as Wings or DNA. I think I just set my expectations too high so I wasn't going to get what I wanted.
the difference is 'biology' is a brilliant song made all the better by its unconventional form. 'move' is just...meandering and everything but the iamspamamispamwhoamspam sink.
I'm a bit baffled by half of these comments. Hell, even PJ was more positive than this. I personally think it's such a jam, much more instant than 'Wings' which took weeks for me to appreciate. And even though it didn't particularly faze me, I'm glad they strayed from the self-empowerment theme. So hyped for the album now!
It's because we have a huge influx of spammers promoting kitchens.

In that case you should do what I do when we get cold callers...interest them in new double glazing ;)

Back on topic...first listen to this and it's a bit well...surprising is the word but not in the context I'd hoped for. It's very risky for a first single, I will say that. Maybe I'll feel differently after a few listens but it seems odd to be launching a second album with this.

I've listened to this a few times and I'm not sure what I think about it, I'm really mixed. I appreciate that it's risky, something different for them and that the sound is a bit more mature. However, I don't think it's strong enough to be what is probably the lead single of a very important second album. I think this will be the album that makes or breaks them so this needs to do well. I like that they're going for the random Girls Aloud structure thing, but I'm somewhat disappointed by the echoes of "Blurred Lines". I'm hoping it's one of those songs that creeps up on you and wins you over in the end because I LOVE and adore them as a group, they don't get enough credit.

Completely agree with all of that. I really hope this doesn't flop because this era, as you say, probably will decide their fate. Hopefully the album isn't full of songs like this, but more songs in the vein of the 'DNA' era. An R'n'B style is something I can imagine only Leigh-Anne and maybe Jesy doing if they were soloists, but Perrie and Jade are pop stars.
