Posted September 23, 201311 yr NOT EXPECTING MUCH AT THIS STAGE 8 episodes of auditions and nothing stands out
September 23, 201311 yr I never really find my faves til around this stage or bootcamp. I do like the new format though, sounds exciting. Bootcamp always used to be a bit of a chore otherwise.
September 23, 201311 yr Looking forward to this a lot more than in previous years because of the changes they've made. Obviously the addition of the chairs and there only being six of them is just for da drama, but still looks good. And will be great that the judges get their categories at this stage as opposed to just before Judges' Houses. <3
September 23, 201311 yr Not having capitals in the thread title makes my eyes hurt. Spot the odd one out: x factor · bootcamp 2013 x factor 2013 · spoilers x factor 2013 · General Discussion :heehee:
September 23, 201311 yr It's quite shocking how little is grabbing my attention right now. I haven't been as focused on the auditions as usual but even with TWO performances for each of the contestants i can only really remember/care for Souli Roots () and a few of the girls off the top of my head. I'm hoping it all becomes a bit clearer after Boot Camp and some more start to shine because this is slightly drab so far.
September 23, 201311 yr It does look like exciting from the ads. But ads can be misleading. The new format seems really interesting though. Are the rumours - Sharon with the over's, Gary with the groups, Louis with the boys and Nicole with the girls- correct? If so, it could be Nicole's year again..
September 23, 201311 yr Spoiler tags in here please! We do have a spoiler thread for tag free fun! ^_^
September 24, 201311 yr Bootcamp is my favourite part of X Factor, so I'm quite excited. It also seems like I watch X Factor once every two years which is weird (2009, 2011 and now 2013 and I don't even plan it like that). So far my faves have been that prison officer woman, the guy with a son that sat on Scherzinger's laps, the girl in a group who said no at the last Sunday's Wembley auditions and Misha B 2.0 from the first auditions (I think). Can't really remember anyone else much.
September 24, 201311 yr Looking forward to it in one way cause I'm sick of auditions, but out of all the episodes there was barely any standouts for me so unless people that we've barely seen anything of impress it might not be that good..
September 24, 201311 yr It probably will disappoint a few people, mainly because they seem to be promoting it as "tougher than ever before", and it's a new twist to the show and all that... By trying to add all the drama they seem to want to, all the tears, getting to know more about the contestants and hearing more about how much debt Melanie's in, the talent will obviously not be the main thing they want to show.
September 24, 201311 yr Bootcamp is probably my least favourite part of X-Factor, it is always pretty much an anti-climax. The Australian version calls it 'super bootcamp' and has more stages which are more rigorous, hopefully the new format is like that. It does look like exciting from the ads. But ads can be misleading. The new format seems really interesting though. Are the rumours - Sharon with the over's, Gary with the groups, Louis with the boys and Nicole with the girls- correct? If so, it could be Nicole's year again.. They are indeed, they've been seen filming judges' houses!
September 28, 201311 yr The format of tonight's show: To start with, the judges’ get their categories before anything else while the 100 remaining acts undertake a vocal warm up together. Outside Wembley Arena, the contestants meet their mentors before the eliminations begin. Halving the acts from 100 down to 50, the soloists are grouped in threes within their category and the groups paired up in so-called Sing Offs. At the end of each sing off, the judges reveal which performers are going on to the next round and who has to go home. All four of the panel make their comments, but it’s the category mentor who ultimately decides, leading to tears and some conflict between the panel. On Day 2 and the real competition begins. Category by category, the final 24 acts are decided, starting with the girls. One by one, each contestant sings a chosen solo track to the judges and a 5,000 strong audience at Wembley Arena. The judges make their comments, before Nicole Scherzinger decides whether or not they should take up one of six seats next to the stage. Backstage and the other girls in the category watch on as the seats are filled. So tonight the final 6 Girls and Over 25's are decided, and tomorrow is the Boys and the Groups. Excited :w00t:
September 28, 201311 yr Tomorrow's will be dull, because I don't really care about any of the boys (except Sam Callahan) or the groups  Good that the girls are tonight though, given they're of course the best category!
September 28, 201311 yr I kind of feel like this is perhaps going to be pushing that poor camel very close to it's LIMIT but I am all for it *.* (and indeed I am all for mixing and matching metaphors)
