I think Leave A Light On is definitely the better choice for the next single. Coming into winter, it has a very 'cold' feeling to it, and I think it'd be good. It's more different from The Saturdays but not too far away from their sound to do well.

I can imagine the video being quite Christmassy, with the 'Light' being a candle XD

I'd love to see them do a video similar to 'Issues' for 'Leave A Light On' (if it ever were to be a single).

I'm elated about the #16 in Ireland! That's great for them!

It would've been so perfect if DL was released in the middle of summer, NGU was released this month, and LALO got a winter release. Gentleman threw everything off to be honest, it probably would've gone WAU #1, DL Top 3, NGU #1, album release, and then LALO would've been the post-album single, gone Top 10, and helped sell the album. They need to release NGU but I don't know if it'd fare as well in the winter. That's why I'd understand if they release LALO next. I wouldn't mind as I love the track and it's a better fit for this time of year, but if it flops then NGU may not get a release.

I suppose NGU is good enough to smash any time of year though

Why do people keep saying 'they need a ballad for winter', 'Not Giving Up won't do well this time of year'. It's all crap! Not Giving Up is the best (and only) option left for a post-album single because it has the best chance of getting radio support and hopefully on to being a hit.

It would've been like choosing 'No One' as the second single from Wordshaker. Just because it's a ballad and it was winter? No, they went for 'Ego' because it was the best option for another hit single.

I don't understand the "winter = ballad" stuff either. The December/January period has massive club songs in the charts. Scream and Shout, Get Up (Rattle), Levels, Domino, Good Feeling, Gangnam Style, We Found Love, Titanium, Drinking From The Bottle, We R Who We R, The Time (Dirty Bit) etc. And I'd rather they got another hit single and a bit more album sales with Not Giving Up (and keep them popular with radio) than release a ballad where it could potentially bomb completely, do nothing for the album and kill airplay.
"Leave A Light On" is shit and would flop. "You Don't Have The Right" is good but I think they need to come back in January when all the big releases are fading, and hit people hard *bam* with "Not Giving Up." It would slay the charts.
Has anyone noticed how on the physical album it refers to Problem With Love as 'The Problem With Love'?
Oh, so it does! I wonder if that is meant to be the correct tag?

It'll most likely stay where it is tbh. It's was always going to fall out because of Artic monkeys and miley! however there isn't any other album that are gonna be able to over take them. #9 at worst now. Don't forget, Paul McCartney have also dropped like the sats album wise on both charts, yet they are still top 5

Lawson have album signings across the country on release week + second week, they certainly got the right idea! The Sats could have sold much more if they did the same! Especially since they've done nothing else in the spotlight this week!

This is what I've seen wherever I've gone throughout the week.

Meadowhall CD Chart (HMV) - #2

Tesco cd Chart - #6

Trafford centre (HMV) - #9

ASDA - #11

Sainsburys - #22

It's pretty mixed so far

#8 in Friday midweeks:

The Saturdays - Living For The Weekend

Currently #41 & #135 on iTunes.

#9 in Friday midweeks:

Chase & Status - Brand New Machine

Currently #17 & #75 on iTunes.

#10 in Friday midweeks:

London Grammar - If You Wait

#12 in Friday midweeks:

So this could end up outside the top 10 depending on how big a lead they had... :(

Amazon [Physical]:

Hmm!

London grammar is a perfect example of a good iTunes album chart rank yet my selling as much as the sats atm. My prediction however is #9 (maybe #10?)
So, i guess the sats are getting majority of their sales from the physicals ....
