Posted October 10, 201311 yr Great song. Seeing as London Grammar have lots of buzz at the moment. Where will this chart? Video: WiDn9LhzdqQ I see this charting at about... #7. It'll definitely chart higher than "F For You", I'm sure of it.
October 10, 201311 yr Wish it was 'Confess To Me'. :( They missed the boat on that, it should've been the last single. I predict #37 for this.
October 10, 201311 yr I've heard it a lot on the radio already and it's *only* #152 on iTunes atm. I think it'll peak in the #11-#30 region. I agree that Confess to Me should've been 4th single. Edited October 10, 201311 yr by Eric_Blob
October 11, 201311 yr I'm thrilled that they've gone for this one! Sublime track. I'd also say that a track with London Grammar is more commercially viable than one with Jessie Ware at this stage. I'd be satisfied if this made the Top 40, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed for Top 20.
October 11, 201311 yr In the 31-40 region seeing as though it's the second post-album single. It is glorious though, a Beneath Your Beautiful boost would be deserved but would unfortunately never happen :( (it's the 5th single btw)
October 11, 201311 yr Should've been Confess To Me, that could have easily gone Top 15. I'll say Top 20 just because I know Jamilla and R1 will be all over it.
October 11, 201311 yr I still don't quite get what everyone sees in Confess To Me and I think this is a far wiser choice for a single considering London Grammar's profile is building quite fast. I think this could still go top 20
October 11, 201311 yr Trouble is it might delay the next "proper" London Grammar single being promoted
October 11, 201311 yr Maybe top 40, wouldn't be surprised if it misses out though since the release schedule is getting busier over the next month (and i still don't think Confess to Me would've done much better than this either)
October 11, 201311 yr Trouble is it might delay the next "proper" London Grammar single being promoted Ideally, London Grammar should have released their first post-album single before this was released. However, seeing as though Disclosure still want to carry on their album campaign with another single (and I can see this being the final single), I think that it's a wise move for London Grammar to release this and treat it as their single too as, imo, it has a better chance of going Top 40 due to the lead artist.
October 11, 201311 yr Single peaks so far: 11-2-10-20.. I expect it should peak somewhere in the Top 40, probably around #32 but I wouldn't be surprised to see it falter just outside the Top 40. Incidentally those who wanted "Confess To Me" should be aware of the Jessie Ware 'just outside the Top 40' curse*
October 11, 201311 yr Jessie Ware is shaping up to be the new Gorky's Zygotic Mynci. 3 top 50 hits (including 'Adorn') but none top 40 yet. 'Help Me Lose My Mind' is a much better choice than 'Confess To Me' IMO. I still don't really see the hype around the latter, it isn't bad but it's not in any way a highlight of 'Settle'.
October 11, 201311 yr Incidentally those who wanted "Confess To Me" should be aware of the Jessie Ware 'just outside the Top 40' curse* People keep saying this but it doesn't mean it would apply in this case. It's a big track with a lot of potential and she is seen as a 'hip' name at the moment so that wouldn't harm it.

It's a big track with a lot of potential and she is seen as a 'hip' name at the moment so that wouldn't harm it. How does any of this not also apply to 'Help Me Lose My Mind', which has the additional bonus of its featured artist actually having some significant chart success?
October 11, 201311 yr How does any of this not also apply to 'Help Me Lose My Mind', which has the additional bonus of its featured artist actually having some significant chart success? I think 'Help Me Lose My Mind' is a reasonable enough choice, just not as good as 'Confess To Me' would have been. It's a better choice than 'F For You', which just seemed like throwing a random album track out there (as much as I like it).

It could even make a Ware/Sandé collab. flop (not a bad thing)
