October 19, 201311 yr I think X Factor must have decided that Union J are too irrelevant to be on the show. The Wanted are a much bigger name than them which means more ratings for XF.
October 19, 201311 yr Queen Perry best perform 'Unconditionally'. There's no need for 'Roar' and she's big enough to perform a new track. As for Union J. I like their new song and want it to do well. Only thing I can think, is they're hoping to push the album, as I also find it bizarre James Arthur is not getting the annual first single performance the day it's released.
October 19, 201311 yr Author Praying Robin Thicke doesn't perform Blurred Lines :/ I think he'll probably do Give It 2 U, then the chorus of Blurred Lines at the end.
October 19, 201311 yr "@marksidaway: @TheXFactor @onedirection 1D will be on the mighty X on 24th November"
October 19, 201311 yr Ah so 1D are promoting the album then! (that should hopefully mean it's The Wanted and Union J or James next week)
October 19, 201311 yr Venus is out the same day as the X-Factor results show, so hopefully it'll be Gaga next week
October 19, 201311 yr Ah so 1D are promoting the album then! (that should hopefully mean it's The Wanted and Union J or James next week) Also means The Wanted have the MAJOR advantage for their single battle with 1D, especially as they also have weeks of radio play and 1D are doing the on air/sale with 'Story of My Life'.
October 19, 201311 yr Celine Dion has been confirmed to appear / perform on November 10th. :w00t: Unfortunately it won't be 'Loved Me Back to Life' and instead a second single, but I'm sure whatever that song will be, it'll be excellent. Hopefully it gets a Cher sized boost at the least rather than just scraping the Top 40 like 'Taking Chances' did back in 2007.
October 19, 201311 yr Also means The Wanted have the MAJOR advantage for their single battle with 1D, especially as they also have weeks of radio play and 1D are doing the on air/sale with 'Story of My Life'. I don't think so. It'll be a decent-sized hit for The Wanted, but I can't see it being bigger than 'Story of My Life'. Radio will pick up on 'Story of My Life' a lot surely and they'll no doubt have excessive amounts of promotion lined up aside from XF.
October 19, 201311 yr we should also remember the last time the wanted performed was lose my mind which i thought was one of their best singles only made number 19,,,the clash will benfit both in sales but i still think one direction will end up victorious.
October 19, 201311 yr I believe the last time The Wanted performed was with 'Lightning'. I hope 1D come out on top as they are BY FAR the superior boyband IMO.
October 19, 201311 yr I don't think so. It'll be a decent-sized hit for The Wanted, but I can't see it being bigger than 'Story of My Life'. Radio will pick up on 'Story of My Life' a lot surely and they'll no doubt have excessive amounts of promotion lined up aside from XF. 1D are stuck touring so I doubt they'll be much promo. Their first week sales for the last singles - best song ever and walks like Rihanna were around the same 75K with 1D doing the on air/sale strategy. So it will surely be a close call.
October 19, 201311 yr The Wanted have released another single since 'Walks Like Rihanna'... :P I know, but I was comparing like with like. 'We own the Night' was oa/os which they're not doing for this release (since it didn't work for them).
October 20, 201311 yr Wikipedia appears to claim that The Wanted and James Arthur will be performing next week; 'Show Me Love (America)' and 'You're Nobody 'Til Somebody Loves You' respectively.
October 20, 201311 yr I think X Factor must have decided that Union J are too irrelevant to be on the show. The Wanted are a much bigger name than them which means more ratings for XF. Both are irrelevant and none will bring out much ratings imo Also means The Wanted have the MAJOR advantage for their single battle with 1D, especially as they also have weeks of radio play and 1D are doing the on air/sale with 'Story of My Life'. There's no chance The Wanted will top One Direction. They're not on equal footing, 1D is hundreds times bigger. And btw, if 1D is going on the show to promote their album instead of the single, I guess that's what we can expect for other XF acts. So Union J and James Arthur will probably be on the week of their CD releases. And I actually doubt XF will deem Union J too "irrelevant" to be on the show. They're a SYCO act and they're from X Factor so and they do well enough so I it's pretty much impossible they won't be promoted at some point. Edited October 20, 201311 yr by André

Exactly - the MOR/family audience XF is aimed at, won't give a crap about boybands (except maybe Take That). :P
