One question about Lorde, isn't Royals already available to buy on an ep she released?

Wasn't released in the UK.

I think Katy's in with a shout for the #1 now with 'Unconditionally' - wouldn't surprise me at all.

Realistically, James will probably be looking at #3 now, but I hope he can beat Lorde. :D

Just realised if Lorde gets to number 1 it will be the first time an artist younger than me has done it - how depressing :(

I'm not sure who is performing though it could be her or Paul McCartney

I'm sure Billie Piper (for instance) was younger when she first did it?

Billie was 15 with Because We Want To went to #1

Very close call for me as well - she was born 12 days before me. Only a matter of time before someone younger than me is at #1 though (nearly happened a while ago with Willow in fact) :P

Sean Kingston was the first person younger than me to get to no.1. Couldn't get my head around the fact someone born in the 90s got to no.1. But like has been said, Willow almost made and she'd have been the first person born this century to get no.1.
The first people younger than me to make number one would have been the St Winifred's School Choir. Individually, it was Nicole.
There's something VERY fishy about Lorde. I don't like what she's doing at all. It's almost as they made someone in a laboratory to sing a song that would attract real music fans and casual music buyers!
Believe it or not teenagers are capable of making music that's not like 1D and Justin Bieber.

I'm not a huge fan of either tracks but I've gone for Lorde to get the number 1 that week based purely on the fact that James Arthur isn't (at the moment...) performing on X Factor, why I don't know and that James isn't even back in the top 100 on pre orders yet...

But I wouldn't be surprised if James does get the number one but its a tough one to call

I'm nearer the age where you start to wonder what was the last Number One by somebody older than you! Actually, there have been a few this year, thanks to Robin Thicke, Pharrell etc.
