October 16, 201312 yr 'Tom Ford' - Jay Z must be the the oldest artist playlisted in a while (nearly 44). More notable with this song rather than 'Holy Grail' as that features Timberlake. Not even the oldest this week - Fat Boy Slim is 50. Edit : beaten to it I see! Edited October 16, 201312 yr by fchd

It's not like he's moving into adult contemporary territory though. Can you imagine Tom Ford on Radio 2? Nice to see Banks and 2 Chainz on the playlist too. Is this the first 2 Chainz solo single they've playlisted? I would've expected Feds Watching if they were going to play anything, since it's very commercial, but the song wasn't that big.

October 16, 201312 yr Author NO BRITNEY?! AND THEY KEEP "CHEATING", BUT REMOVE "DISCO LOVE"?! But hey, look on the bright side.... VAULTS are on there! (kinda) :yahoo: :funky: B-)
October 16, 201312 yr Great to see Storm Queen and Martin Garrix on the climb. :dancing: Pleasing additions for Jay Z and Vaults. :cheer:
October 16, 201312 yr It's this time of year the INMWT playlist gets interesting as it you start to get sleeper releases from potential 'Sound of...' acts. Who then become the staple of the playlist the following year.
October 16, 201312 yr Indeed this time last year we had Kodaline, Bastille and others on there. Did All I Want not get blisted when it was released last yr or was it just me that loved it?

It's not just age that matters when play listing it's the type of music Eminem and many other rappers will always be played on radio 1 rather than radio 2 as long as their music is popular with the audience age target!

October 17, 201312 yr I didn't know Kodaline were re-releasing All I Want. Hopefully it will be top 40 this time.
October 17, 201312 yr Indeed this time last year we had Kodaline, Bastille and others on there. Did All I Want not get blisted when it was released last yr or was it just me that loved it? Yeah, 'All I Want' was B-listed and everything else since has been A-listed so I'm sure 'All I Want' will be A-listed this time. It's a pretty good song to be fair.
October 17, 201312 yr Actually Fat Boy Slim is 50 years old:p True, forgot about that. I guess we also have to bear in mind the appearance of Calvin Harris on the remix - as well as Riva Starr (no idea how old he is).
October 17, 201312 yr John Newmans album is on the verge of the top spot in the albums chart this week! But The Saturdays are looking likely to have a top 10 spot. I'm just shocked they removed "Disco Love" quicker than "Gentleman".
October 17, 201312 yr But The Saturdays are looking likely to have a top 10 spot. I'm just shocked they removed "Disco Love" quicker than "Gentleman". But they often remove songs the week after they chart, they haven't singled out 'Disco Love' in doing that (for example, they've also dropped 'R U Crazy' and 'Berzerk' this week). I'm just shocked they removed "Disco Love" quicker than "Gentleman". Yea its true that The Saturdays have been removed quite quickly but John Newmans more likely to have a popular album that sells well over the coming months whereas the sats are more flash in the pan!
