Really not sure why that much worsr Kelly Clarkson song is almost ad popular!!

Radio 1 supported Kelly quite a bit more I think!

Full sales: 224,980. Probably bowing out on 230k before next Christmas.

Thanks! Sold pretty well this year - hope it can somehow manage to go gold by 2020!

Ah right! Shows their Cowell fear tbh by not playing Leona :(

Seriously its nothing to do with Simon, they aren't scared of him, why would they be?

He needs them, not the other way around.

Radio stopped playing her the moment she dared criticise him/ lesve his label.

That just isn't true. Capital was nowhere to be found when Glassheart was released and Radio 1 were extremely luke warm to Trouble and then blanked Lovebird completely. The only radio hit she had since Echo was One More Sleep.

Leona's issue with radio started long before she moved from Simon's label.

Edit: Thinking about it now did Radio 2 or Heart support anything when Glassheart was released? She definitely had Radio 2 on board in a big way when she released FUMF, they supported all three singles from I Am.

#87 on streams for yesterday - disappointed with how it's done on streaming this year compared to last (was #32 last year). But hoping that it'll manage another week top 100 with its strong sales (Plus streaming will be higher than #87 for Xmas day likely!).

Exactly. Radio One has blanked several SyCo acts in the past so I doubt they're "afraid of him". He doesn't wield that much power, even if he'd like everyone to think otherwise.

Sadly streaming was even lower yesterday, her peak was 87, which is pretty terrible given how popular it was on iTunes. Kelly's is nowhere near as popular but managed #32 because she was actually on some playlists.

With those streaming she probably won't be top 100 next week

It was just about Christmas Crackers that made such a huge difference saw the top 25 UK SP which are all Christmas songs and they were part of this playlist (where leona was on at the beginning of december) and if you go on the info of the artists you can see the top playlist from where there are more listeners and that one is at the top, plus other playlists feature leona Christmas cover like Christmas cocktails, or even in Italy and Germany the song featured is Winter Wonderland and not OMS as you can see charting in kworb

The streams for Winter Wonderland and Christmas (Baby Please Come Home) do appear to have done better this year (most likely because of their playlist adds as has been mentioned).

Just a shame it wasn't One More Sleep on them. 😞

OMS made the top 100 at 76, missed the top 75 for one spot (86 sales chart and 80 streaming chart) selling an additional 10k ,OMS total +235k

That's excellent, really. She really had an uphill battle with streaming because 'Christmas Party' was the only 1/5 main playlists were One More Sleep on.

I guess it's too much to ask for One More Sleep to be 59p again next year AND be on the playlists. Kelly did nowhere near as well on sales and still managed to chart at #66 this week because of spotify). Heart and Capital really got behind the song but Radio 1 and 2's airplay was a big meh.

Great to see it manage another week in the top 100! Hopefully next year it'll be on more playlists and be 59p. With the streaming ratio changing that should help it a little bit to chart higher though (It's always done better on sales than streaming usually).
OMS sold a total of 34k in 2016. :)

It was 191k in January, I think it is more 44-45k considering it is at +235k
