From my pov then, The Beatles should be #1 next Sunday... :P

Ohh yes please :D

Fatboy Slim  #2 :w00t:

I never thought I'd see him back in the Top 40 again. His last Top 40 hit was a cover of The Joker back in 2005 for those wondering. His last Top 10 hit was Star 69 back in 2001. :o

G'won Fatboy Slim

Hopefully Foxes does well too, good to see that people are buying the superior original version more than the radio edit.

If only had Lady Gaga, One Direction & Tinie Tempah had released today, The Wanted would be struggling to have made the top 10 before xFactor.

Combined Foxes' are #14 on iTunes. I doubt that it will manage to go top 10 on iTunes as the second version has slowed down the progress.

Fatboy Slim #2

He had one Top 40 after that,

Fatboy Slim - That Old Pair Of Jeans - (2 Weeks) 08/07/2006 -{39}-68

Thanks for that. I can't remember it. Off to YouTube for me.

Why are One Direction releasing on a Monday again? What is the reasoning behind this?

Security. If it doesn't go to #1 they can claim its because it didn't have all week.

Ok Venus is now on YouTube   :cheer: Fingers crossed it'll be on iTunes asap.

Really, that's pathetic.

No, it's to coincide with their US release for the billboard chart.

Tactical international planning.

That's why their video which contributes to billboard also doesn't come out til mid week.

Definitely for the uk chart, The Wanted have the advantage with 6 weeks radio play and the X factor performance. That's enough of an argument for 1D to use without given themselves another disadvantage.

because it is worldwide released on the same day and they chose monday because the chart week in the biggest music market - the USA - starts on that day.

Venus is the worst song of the year.

Move aside, Pink and Justin Timberlake.

You all need to hear how bad it is (or just don't waste your time).

It will do nothing in the charts, whether it's performed on X Factor (let's hope not, cringe) or not. What is she playing at thinking that could have been an official single :(

Okay we don't need it on repeat every time you post. Let's move on.

The 2:48 version of Eat, Sleep, Rave, Repeat from the EP is 59p so maybe the version that is at #2 now will be made 59p as well at some point.
Wanted are also pretty desperate for American success it seems after their last singles flopped there to put the country in the song title.

I don't think it will be reduced but if it helps it to stay ahead of 1D then that's fine by me

And whoever came up with that sub title on the topic page is a genius!!!! Made me chuckle, we need to show Fatboy Slim the love this week!!

So pleased to see Foxes doing well, even though I'd rather see it go top 10
