Actually it's far more tolerable than Fatboy Slim which is insufferable noise ;)

The worst thing about this week is two Lady Gaga songs top 10.

 

It feels weird that I haven't heard five songs in the current top 10. And four of the ones I have heard I've only heard a few times.

Seems the single version has been deleted. Not really sure why there was one, since the exact same version is on the EP anyway. Hope this helps it climb (back) into the top 20!

Hmm, my thoughts on some of the songs in the iTunes top 10:

 

One Direction - Story Of My Life

Okay, I know they're not very popular on here but I really don't find this song bad at all. In fact, they are usually on point with their singles and it's nice to hear something a little bit different. Hopefully the video will be good when it's out!

 

Lady Gaga - Venus

I actually like the chorus quite a lot and it is quite catchy. This is also the first song she's produced by herself. Other than that, the verses are a little awkward and weird.

 

Justin Bieber - Recovery

It sounds the same as his last three #MusicMondays singles but with sped up vocals. Nothing particularly special.

 

Fatboy Slim & Riva Starr - Eat Sleep Rave Repeat

I haven't heard this and really don't want to.

 

The Wanted - Show Me Love (America)

The chorus is quite good and it's a bit toned down compared to some of their previous stuff. It's growing on me.

Nice to see her go for a simple pop record but it's fairly 'meh' to be honest. :(

 

Tinie Tempah feat. John Martin - Children Of The Sun

This feels like such a backstep from his last era. I'm not surprised it's not performing too well so far. The chorus is alright thanks to John Martin but everything else is just so basic which is a shame from someone as innovative as Tinie.

What a mess (seems to be a theme with this week's releases in general). Hopefully the EP version can now go into the top 20 as you say but how bizarre she'd release a single only to delete it the day after release :wacko:

I can't pretend this is smashing but after underwhelming pre-orders it's doing decently (especially as there are 5 other new entries above it). Should at the very least be a top 10 hit still. Don't know why he thought it'd be a good idea to release on a Monday...

So many new entries this week... we NEED to get the deadwood out of the chart though.

Someone needs to stop Lorde from choosing the titles for her songs.

But that's a bit short-sighted, given that singles sales are strong, and album sales are in the crapper...

Some areas of London were worse than others such as Houslow and Watford. North London wasn't that bad though compared, mainly rain with a lot of wind.
