I think it will be brought forward a few weeks.... demand is high in all countries.... I know she wants promo to co-inicde with live Voice shows but she may not need it to get a top 10 and if anything she may prolong its longevity if released earlier... I also think there will be a CD single, just not announced yet..... The Vinyl is exclusive to kylie.com... I think a CD single will be sold everywhere, would be silly not too.... could easy sell 5k of physicals

people say it is too long to wait , but I kind of disagree... Kylie needs promo and her promo usually works.. It would not dent the top 10 if released this week.. Kylie needs radio play, TV stuff, video being played etc and she needs pre-orders to bulk up the total...... she has all the pre-orders on her website which should collect a fair few sales and then it should be on iTunes pre-order and amazon in the next few weeks... if they feel they have big pre-order sales then it may get an earlier release.

 

problem is they will be trying to get a week with less competition from other big releases for the single and album, plus to not get the Voice live shows promo would be silly hence her release date of March.

 

I really hope the single goes top 10 and album to 5 that would be great for her.

I see no reason why the album wouldn't be #1 for her, the state of the market should allow her to easily do it and there's not a lot of competition at the moment.

 

As for the single, I'm just hoping for a top 10 really.

I guess there's no way of knowing for certain until closer to the release when we see how much support it's got etc, of course I would love more than anything for you to be right about that.

its crazy to think Ellie Goulding has had 3 weeks at number 1 in albums this year and has sold only around 80k combined in those 3 weeks...

 

Kylie is doing the right thing.... she knows UK is biggest market for her really so giving herself the best chance of getting a high charting single to then try and sell the album... she knows she is not going to sell 'huge' singles in Europe etc does anyone? but into the blue has done well on 1st 2 days of iTunes and hopefully airplay will pick up.

 

6 weeks of pre-orders in a hole host of formats for kiss me once should guarantee a top 10 album and hopefully higher, but you just never know what will sell in any given week.

 

She is obviously avoiding the Brit affect inflated sales of other peoples albums which could harm chart positions.

 

I actually think this album will sell more worldwide than Aphrodite, and I think some of the songs will be very very good!

someone was complaining on twitter about the release date... it is only 5 weeks away this Sunday and you have to remember most people have still not heard into the blue so it will still be fresh..... and the video is aired on 3rd Feb for 1st time... starring French actor Clement Sibony and directed by same woman who directed CGYOOMH and Spinning Around.. it is supposed to be quite racy......

Not sure if I'm bothered about the remixes as Kylie's mixes tend to be underwhelming most of the time. Might buy the german single if it includes the b side sparks.

Very short clip but it reminded me of 'Spinning Around'.

I think the video has a good storybook feel to it so people should like it.... some good dancers in it, its like a weekend condensed into 4 minutes
