November 11, 201312 yr I'm sure Music Week will clean things up tomorrow. I'm guessing it could have managed 20k+ due to cherry picks from those compilations (even if they do seem to be minor ones) and the 6 weeks of charting in the Top 200 this year. The sales that caused it to chart for 6 weeks could've been from those compilation albums. But it would've sold hardly anything when those albums were first released, since it had no mainstream promotion. This isn't the first time it happened. Songs like Call Me Maybe, We Are Young, Fireflies, were on iTunes before they started getting famous (and then deleted from iTunes by the record companies), so they had sales from before they "debuted" at #1.
November 11, 201312 yr Union J dropping from 6 to 31 in the album charts, they're not going to be as big as 1 direction, pretty obvious now
November 11, 201312 yr Author The song is a re-entry to the top 200 and a new entry to the top 75/100. Not that difficult to understand? :P It was obviously available before and then got deleted in the run up to its 'proper' release last week.
November 11, 201312 yr Oh dear at Justin and Macca. But that's obviously nothing compared to the complete flop by Sting earlier this autumn.
November 11, 201312 yr Who would have thought 6 weeks ago that The Vamps would get 6 weeks in the Top 20? Union J dropping from 6 to 31 in the album charts, they're not going to be as big as 1 direction, pretty obvious now Were they ever going to be as big as One Direction?
November 11, 201312 yr The Classical Chart has Katherine Jenkins' old album, This Is Christmas at their No 1, with Andre Rieu's December Lights at No 2. That Rieu album is at No 81 in the top 100, yet Jenkins's album doesn't appear in the top 100 chart at all, shouldn't it feature somewhere above No 81?
November 11, 201312 yr Epic Elvis album history in the Chart thread yesterday great work Bra!!! Any reason why Elvis didnt get a no1 album in 1977 when he died??
November 11, 201312 yr That's only a third of Elvis' full singles chart discography as well. Better start typing working on the full list before the Susan Boyle "duet" enters the chart! All the stuff I previously had in here about albums has been deleted as i decided I was talking out of my backside and the facts were'nt as I had stated them. Edited November 11, 201312 yr by fchd
November 11, 201312 yr Author The Classical Chart has Katherine Jenkins' old album, This Is Christmas at their No 1, with Andre Rieu's December Lights at No 2. That Rieu album is at No 81 in the top 100, yet Jenkins's album doesn't appear in the top 100 chart at all, shouldn't it feature somewhere above No 81? Possible that the Katherine Jenkins album is on the budget chart? Otherwise no idea. I have noticed the genre charts don't always seem to line up with the overall chart. That's only a third of Elvis' full singles chart discography as well. Better start typing working on the full list before the Susan Boyle "duet" enters the chart! I imagine you understood this already but just to clarify the singles list was just for the songs included on 'The Nation's Favourite Elvis Songs', it was not intended to be an exhaustive list (as the albums list was). I almost left out 'Elvis At Stax' (#70 earlier this year) from the list - forgot that happened and Chartstats wasn't there to remind me of it :P This is actually his third album chart entry since the demise of Chartstats, but I managed to remember 'Prince From Another Planet' when I prepared the list.
November 11, 201312 yr Author Just noticed that '21' has dropped out of the top 100 for the first time
November 11, 201312 yr OMG, surely itll creep in as xmas draws nearer or will it make it harder to sell enough?
November 11, 201312 yr Just noticed that '21' has dropped out of the top 100 for the first time  What's the bets it is at #101 and will re-enter next week?
November 11, 201312 yr It's the first week that ABBA Gold is above 21 by Adele so at least it will slightly increase the difference in sales, for one week at least!
November 11, 201312 yr Singles 80 56 05 Disclosure Feat. London Grammar Help Me Lose My Mind Let me know the chart position. And watch me ~CRUMBLE~ :( 81 NE 01 Bombay Bicycle Club Carry Me Another T100 hit, actually their 5th now IIRC - I forgot about "Lights Out, Words Gone" (#89 since you didn't ask) when posting about this the other day because I am a flop BBC fan.
November 11, 201312 yr Author Another T100 hit, actually their 5th now IIRC - I forgot about "Lights Out, Words Gone" (#89 since you didn't ask) when posting about this the other day because I am a flop BBC fan. 5th is correct. I don't blame you for forgetting 'Lights Out, Words Gone', their other 3 previous top 100 hits are all great songs (especially 'Always Like This' which I prefer to 'Shuffle' despite that one having all the hyperbolic love from the BuzzIndie) but that one never really grabbed me. Yet to hear 'Carry Me' but it's always good to see they're still relevant to some degree.
