The top 5 were all new entries on W/E 9/6/12 if that's what you meant? :D

Yeah it was. :D I suppose the whole Top 7 being new entries is a record? Can't be much more than 8 surely!

Well basically to end it, I began saying that supermarkets aren't stocking the new Avril CD, and I said that is the reason for the album not being higher, and then i'm being called idiotic for having an opinion. I'm not gonna bother talking about it anymore since certain users have a problem with me having an opinion.

zeus555 posted a couple of weeks ago that the top 5 had all been new entries only 3 times and I don't think any of them had #6 as a new entry as well, so yes, an all-new top 7 is a record.

Thanks. I suppose if record companies insist on releasing albums in November/December to get as many sales as possible, then there's every chance we could see all new Top 5+s a couple of times a year.

Well, perhaps not a couple, more like once a year.

61 :new: 01 Pet Shop Boys Feat. Example ~ Thursday

Very disappointing. Their most commercial sounding single in years with a hip trendy act on guest vocals, with Radio 2 airplay and a Jonathan Ross performance slot, and still couldn't get higher than #61. :(

Example is very much over now...

Though he can still get a top 20 hit here and now...

In Buzzjack terms, someone is "over" if their songs start missing #1. :drama:

Ouch at Matt Cardle, really undeserved for such a great album, big drop for Olly Murs this week and Arcade Fire falling to number 12 from the top pot is disappointing.

When the Pet Shop Boys were only number 40 in the midweeks i knew it wasnt a good sign and i worried they would fall out of the top 75 so least they managed to stay in.

Nice to see Celine Dion back in the top 75 pre the x factor performance, hopefully she gets another top 40 hit now this week out of it.

Great to see Celine Dion back in the top 75.

Shame Work bitch didn't chart higher but I guess that's because of the late release here.

I would put money on that being his last ever top 20 hit as a lead artist.

Shame he couldn't have helped the boys get a hit when he was still a name with power behind it...

I'd say the fact it had zero support, it's done really well all things considered.

I don't understand why The Saturdays don't sell albums as they do with their songs. I'm a big fan of Girls Aloud but i like a lot The Saturdays too. Audience seems that they trusted every material of Girls Aloud that's why they had only platinum albums to their discography (I meant Their Official Albums - Not the Greatest Hits). On the other hand, people avoid buying the material of The Saturdays. It's out only for 4 weeks and it's aldready No.96..It's quite disappointing and they are so likeable..

Micheal Buble and Rod Stewart back already with their Christmas albums, leads me to believe Leona Lewis should release her Christmas album earlier than planned.
I've just remembered something Storm Queen has already had 6 weeks in the top 200 chart at some point this year, OCC site has the track number of 7 weeks in total.

Wikipedia says it was originally released in 2010(!) before two remix EPs were released in February of last year. This new 2:28 length version is a re-release. Mind you, the links for the 2010 and 2012 versions lead to US iTunes, so I'm not sure whether it's been available for that long. Has it 'Look Right Through' appeared on a compilation album recently?

The Independent Singles Chart says 'Look Right Though' has charted for 23 weeks.

I'm not sure if the MK remix of the new track is separate from the other version though which OCC could have combined both versions, so it could be a new entry or a re-entry :drama: or new to the top 75.

It was on a compilation album in 2011 (Future Disco Vol. 4), and another in 2012 (The Place Vol. 2). Its weeks in the top 200 are probably from this year though.

Doesn't the OCC combine all remixes though? They seem to be classing it as a re-entry regardless of whether all remixes have been combined though if they are saying it's on its 7th week in the chart.

I'm sure Music Week will clean things up tomorrow. I'm guessing it could have managed 20k+ due to cherry picks from those compilations (even if they do seem to be minor ones) and the 6 weeks of charting in the Top 200 this year.

Definitely on its 7th week, just checked the top 40 chart on Radio 1, the track has 7 weeks in total as well. Hopefully MW will shed more light on it tomorrow. If the track gets sales added from previous weeks, than it be more of a re-entry to the chart..
