November 22, 201312 yr "It was released when sales were higher" doesn't really work when there's only one year between albums  Album sales were a lot better in 2011 than they were in 2012.
November 22, 201312 yr Give the guy a break. He's spoken about how he wasn't himself last year, struggling to deal with X Factor after his daughter Poppy died. He's not usually rude to people and any perceived 'acting' is due to his discomfort at being under such scrutiny on TV. Ever started a new job and felt like s fish out of water? Then you should have a little more comprehension of people's behaviour. He's a brilliant songwriter, his problem is the fact that he's programmed into a box of writing tricks that make his songs sometimes overly generic. When he lets go and stops worrying about what people think (which he still does, even now, having not really got past what happened in 2000) he writes great songs. There's a track called Dying Inside on the new album. I think it could alter your perception. Who let the Gary Barlow loons out? I wasn't even aware such a thing existed. Also, last year was his second on the show, hardly a "new job" at that stage.
November 22, 201312 yr I would love if Bastille got it but I also want Lily there, I don't mind the first one is a mash up and the second oen a cover. Hopefully the one who doesn't achieve it this week does it next week.
November 23, 201312 yr I got a funny feeling Bastille will nip this in the end, Hmmm my sixth sense agrees with you. The impossible has happened, they are outselling Lily on iTunes right now. By the way, I'm so excited because the result of this chart battle is still not a foregone conclusion. :w00t:

November 23, 201312 yr Author But only *just*, and I dare say Lily's advert will be played during XF... To be honest the TV audience is going to be split tonight with the X Factor going head to head with the 50th Anniversary episode of the Dr. on BBC1, it still could go in Bastille's favour.
November 23, 201312 yr One Direction could sell 200K first week. I don't think Gary has that "Take That" selling power on his own. Unfortunately, they probably will but still hoping he beats them...
November 23, 201312 yr I don't get gaga drops, Gaga it's doing great on itunes and on every other market it's selling more than half on just physical copies. :nono:
November 23, 201312 yr Unfortunately, they probably will but still hoping he beats them... Gary Barlow doesn't stand a cat in hells chance of stopping that awful group getting their first number one album but I'd gladly be proved wrong
November 23, 201312 yr Unfortunately, they probably will but still hoping he beats them... Doubt 1D will do 200k when Eminem and Robbie couldn't.
November 23, 201312 yr Gary Barlow doesn't stand a cat in hells chance of stopping that awful group getting their first number one album but I'd gladly be proved wrong I thought their last album did hit #1?
November 23, 201312 yr I thought their last album did hit #1? It did indeed. Up All Night got caught at #2 behind Rihanna though.
November 23, 201312 yr Who let the Gary Barlow loons out? I wasn't even aware such a thing existed. Also, last year was his second on the show, hardly a "new job" at that stage. A person with an opinion, whether in the matter of an artist or more cerebral matters, is not a loon simply because you don't consider said opinion worthy of your, no doubt, flawless intellect. You, like many others on Buzzjack, are entirely unwelcoming and dismissive. It wouldn't hurt some of you to climb back out of your own arses and consider the validity of views beyond your own. November 23, 201312 yr But only *just*, and I dare say Lily's advert will be played during XF... Yes, but there are only 3 and a half hours left and Bastille combined are still ahead of Lily. I think Bastille will win this chart battle with less than 200 copies ahead. :w00t:
November 23, 201312 yr honestly didn't think Bastille would put up this much of a fight! I think Lily will still get there though, probably by like a few hundred copies (or less) :(
November 23, 201312 yr Hopefully if Bastille could prevent her this week, and Calvin Harris next week then this atrocity may not be inevitable! Sadly though, I can't see what would prevent her after next week. :(
November 23, 201312 yr At least lily can maintain her sales over a number of weeks and not just jump in at no1 after massive pent up demand! She will sell 60k plus from now until Xmas week!
