December 31, 201311 yr Author Sorry guys and gals but I really can't be arsed to do anymore tonight so the top 25 will come tomorrow (New years day obvs).
January 1, 201411 yr Author 25-11 11. Daft Punk Ft Pharell Williams – Get Lucky 12. The Saturdays – Disco Love 13. Katy Perry – Roar 14. James Blunt – Bonfire Heart 15. Bruno Mars – When I Was Your Man 16. Avicii VS Nicky Romero – I Could Be the One 17. London Grammar – Strong 18. Justin Timberlake – Mirrors 19. Lady GaGa Ft R Kelly – Do What You Want 20. Lawson – Learn to Love Again 21. Robin Thicke Ft Pharell & T.I. – Blurred Lines 22. Tom Odell – Another Love 23. Lady GaGa - Applause 24. Demi Lovato – Heart Attack 25. Britney Spears - Work Bitch Coming in at number 25 was the biggest female solo artist back in the late Nineties, Britney. Her comeback single"Work Bitch" starts this next group of songs off. I mentioned earlier that a selection of artists truly have had their time to shine in 2013 and Demi Lovato is one of these. This track "Heart Attack" became her highest charting hit in the UK. Lady GaGa provided some "Applause" at number 23 & not far from where I am from is Chichesters Tom Odell whose first mainstream chart hit "Another Love" ends up in a decent no.22 position. Perhaps a song that you'll remember off the top of your head in years to come is "Blurred Lines" by Robin Thicke, it would appear he's finally recieved his big break as a solo artist topping charts all around the world but most significantly in the UK which so happens to be his first no.1 in his whole career. The track wraps up the top 30 section at number 21. Not quite matching up to their no.19 with "Taking Over Me" last year but still managing to scratch and claw 2 consecutive years in my top 20 is British band Lawson reminding us that we should "Learn to Love Again". Lady GaGa's follow up single "Do What You Want" manages to secure 19th place, the song proved big demand when fans heard it being dropped as a demo half way through the week back in late October. It's her best release from ARTPOP thus far and R Kelly also features. "Mirrors" is fast becoming my favourite Justin single and has managed to recieve a decent 18th position. I'm not a fan of JT bar a few track but this is certainly one of those ON THE MONEY scenarios when it comes to releasing singles. Coming in at 17th is "Strong" by London Grammar followed by Avicii's "I Could Be The One" at 16. Bruno Mars is no.15 with "When I Was Your Man" and the Ryan Tedder co written track "Bonfire Heart" sung by former army officer James Blunt is number 14. The jungle themed "ROAR" from Katy Perry strides in 13th and The Saturdays final appearance on the countdown comes from "Disco Love" in 12th place. Finally at 11 is one of the biggest tunes to comes from this year, "Get Lucky" featuring a team up of Daft Punk and rapster Pharell plus Nile Rodgers from legendary 70's group CHIC. Brings some of that funky/disco mojo back into this current day and age Edited January 1, 201411 yr by Rob!
January 1, 201411 yr Those 3 are great! "Can't Hold Us" and "Same Love" in fact EPIC and who would have guessed at this time last year that Matt Cardle would have another hit! Too bad that success only lasted for one song.

January 2, 201411 yr Author So finally we get to the top 3 and it was an extremely close one. As a matter of fact any of the top 4 could've taken this as they are all so brilliant. With help from some rough popularity bars I managed to come to an decision on who shall get my number 1 and this is how it ultimately turned out. #3 CfihYWRWRTQ
January 2, 201411 yr Author SO MY NUMBER 2 IS? http://cdn0.sbnation.com/imported_assets/1714937/weebay-shocked-face.gif  HMMMM :o http://bendalton.noii.net/journal/wp-content/uploads/2010/11/S8.gif #2 dLIWbjlUrSY & ROB'S SMASH HIT OF 2013 BELONG TO IcrbM1l_BoI Congrats to Avicii on recieving my Smash Hit reccord for 2013, the lyrics sum up exactly me in the song and the way 2013 has been for me. Featuring guest vocals from Aloe Blacc, Avicii completely changed direction with his sound and adding country is something that seems to have done the trick as the public fell in love with this song over the summer and was the fastest selling single of the year. Congrats again on joining my historic group of songs of the year. No.2 belongs to Ryan Tedder's group One Republic, this song was the biggest suprise for me as it was so out of the blue. Like Jar of Hearts two years back it's really a massive thanks to itunes for reducing the track to 59p to help spread awareness of this catchy song that went on to become the bands first ever no.1 single in the UK. "Love Me Again" was certain to become my record of the year until the previous two popped up. This soul number from John Newman was his very first solo single and reached no.1 back in July. Feel good track "Let Her Go" by Brighton based singer-songwriter Mike Rosenberg otherwise known as Passenger stormed the charts this year breaking up all of the dance electro RNB stuff that was filling the charts. I feel it was time we needed this song in our lives especially mine. The vocal ending without music was pure genuine in my estimate. Controversial star Miley Cyrus ends up at number 5 with "Wrecking Ball" and the phenomenal "Pompeii" comes in 7th for Bastille. Their highest position in my countdown noticably and what a year those guys have had. Sandwhiched with the fab duet from Matt Cardle and Mel C who are 9 with "Loving You" is two tracks from Macklemore, who has proven to be the biggest breakthrough artist of 2013, grabbing 3 top 10 hit this guy never fails to disappoint and knows how to get people chanting along feeling the music flow throw their body. "Same Love" has a beautiful message and is certainly one of those accept who you are type tracks mixing in with arguements against religion. the song is number 8 & "Can't Hold Us" is number 10. Full countdown will be posted in a sec. Thanks for reading and commenting :D Edited January 2, 201411 yr by Rob!
