The Lana Wachowski sample at the end of Come Down To Us took me by total surprise and honestly made me tear up a bit. That speech is really important 2 me

It's a lot more majestic and there's obvious hooks. I like it.

Come Down To Us is absolutely stunning. An EP of sheer excellence (as ever from Burial)

Absolutely loving this. Reminds me of Music for the Jilted Generation era Prodigy and that is most definitely a great thing.

i literally can't get through this EP without tearing up at some point.

 

such a welcome idea - in a world that needs acceptance more than ever it's wonderful to have such an emotionally charged collection of music for everyone to enjoy and relate to. really loving it.

He set an unattainably high bar with this EP. Perfect ending to 2013. (Beyoyo as well! *.* )

 

I have been on board for a lot of his output to date, but this EP is a little disappointing IMO, it's ok but although "Hiders" starts out quite pretty and moving, it doesn't really go anywhere/is not very interesting and just doesn't work. I did really like "Rival Dealer" however, particularly the grimy and bass-heavy feel of it. As Dandy says, it sounds a little like the Prodigy circa Jilted Music.

This is incredible. Really need to give his albums a proper listen at some point (I have been kinda AWARE of Burial for a while but this is his first release that I've actually paid much attention to).

I would say they're not quite as accessible as these but the detail is phenomenal.

Unanimous praise. <3 If we've simultaneously pleased the trifecta of Pavel/Bré/AnthonyT who notoriously dislike fairly acclaimed tracks with no apparent logic, then I think Burial has well and truly scored. If there's anyone who'd like to voice their dislike: PLEASE DON'T
