20 out of the 25 songs are like an electronic/dance song with a female vocalist, they all sound exactly the same and they are all bland as ever.

I've just checked around 10 random tracks from the top 20 of the latest BJSC - now I appreciate UP A LOT more. Those tracks do sound exactly the same (or maybe I was unlucky with my cherrypicking).

Voted.

LOVE the Top 5 so much.

This was a pretty samey round but I enjoyed most of the songs (I'm easily pleased) and especially my top 5 (they're obviously my favourites duh). Think I'll probably be able to get behind the winner this time too.

'Forever Dolphin Love' is amaze btw. Heard it ages ago but didn't immediately recognise it from the title (I did think it sounded slightly familiar though).

A lot of the female-vocalled alt-tinged electro-pop tracks (gosh are so many hyphens even necessary) are very forgettable but there are also a few really good ones!!
For some reason I can see 'Younger' storming to victory.

I can't at all - sounded pretty average to my ears. It may pick up steady votes from the MOR crowd but I can't see it pleasing the more discerning members.

Fully supportive of the love for "Forever Dolphin Love". Couple of other strong tracks too!

I'm assuming the results are going to be on Sunday night?

Knew my top pointer already but there was no way I could give anything else 12 points. I think it's the first time I've binned every song :/

Probably Monday, I'm going out with friends this Sunday to celebrate my exams being over! (sorry)

Finally got my votes away. I really didn't like this edition of UP, ended up running out of songs I could award points to in good conscience, so the 12th is essentially a matter of it being the least bad song, rather than being 12th best. Also had to vote for a song, from an act I thought is a bit too well known for UP.
I'm having trouble with the MP3 packs. I already listened and voted so it's not urgent, just want some of the songs on my iTunes. Apparently it's a .rar file? My computer doesn't know what to do with it. Do they need extracted? Would appreciate any suggestions.
Juan Maclean is an electronic/house musician, so I'm not sure where else he'd belong.

Dance?

There's plenty of electronic artists that were better placed in the old indie/'specialist' forum than the old dance forum, which was my point at the time. Besides, does it even matter seeing as UP isn't genre-specific?
