It is poor, with the limit to words of 4 characters or under. I always Google whatever I'm looking for and put Buzzjack in the search. Like do a Google search for 'iTunes May 2009 Buzzjack' if I want to quickly reminisce about Agnes/Alexander Rybak in the top ten without being thrown out of the search for searching for 'May'.

Was it :o happy days, i taped it on the sky plus, gonna watch it over xmas. Im really looking forward to seeing it now esp with that performance, i love how they make a brand new TOTPs 2 every year with new performances for a few songs plus the classics. Just shows you with some airplay the killers xmas tracks could do really well. Christmas in LA is really good imo a serious one (i like their serious xmas efforts like Boots better than CCB or FIIMB) from them.

 

Radio 1 stlll have Great Big Sled on their xmas playlist - ive heard it 5-10 times in the past 2 weeks so they clearly know they exist. Its not as if they dont play xmas songs on the station these past 3/4 years they have properly played them flat out! Wonder why they ignore new xmas songs on their playlist yet play them anyway - they played Leona/Kelly Clarkson twice a day for the past 2 weeks literally!

Not rocket science: after people got the gift cards on Christmas day as a gift :lol:

Really hoping the gift cards can stop this being a low sales week all round.

I would expect those Bieber tracks to only scrape the top 100 if at all this week, sales are going to be much higher than usual anyway due to the gift card effect and surely a lot of his fans are gonna choose to complete the album (sorry, """journal""") instead of cherrypicking all 5 tracks. Nonetheless, for the moment:

I'm assuming 'Story Of My Life', 'Move', 'Royals' and the Miley Cyrus singles will be the main "benefitters" of the gift card effect this week. I could also see less obvious choices such as 'Wild' and 'Talk Dirty' shooting back up.

I think both Move and Little Me by Little Mix will benefit hugely as well.

Despite the subtitle I chose for this thread (which was intentionally facetious on account of there being nothing else going on this week) I would be surprised if 'Royals' gets much of a boost. Obviously hoping it does though. 'Story Of My Life' is probably, sadly, going to be the big one this year but I think Pharrell is still pretty safe for #1. 1D climbing back to #2 would not surprise me though. Agree that Little Mix, Miley and Jason will benefit heavily as well.

It's mainly the biggest hits of the year that benefit most, so obviously expect Daft Punk, Robin Thicke, Avicii etc to climb quite significantly.

I think they will climb but not by too much as they've sold a great load already.

In 2011 I remember Olly Murs, Ed Sheeran and Rizzle Kicks's singles getting large boosts, so maybe they will again this year too.

Hopefully 'What About Us' and maybe a lesser extend 'Disco Love' will benefit.

To be honest I wouldn't mind 1D benefitting this year. 'Story Of My Life' is a great song and definitely 1D's best single to date. Certainly in a higher league than the dire 'Little Things'.

I think they will climb but not by too much as they've sold a great load already.
