I loved Stacey in her first stint but don't think she should have come back :(

 

She's been terrible so far

Lucy should have far more screen time by now to build up to hear death, it could all end up really rushed now unless they use the Cindy route where an arguement occurs and she ends up dying in a similar way to the girl Belle killed in Emmerdale.

 

Loving Stacey this time as much as first time.

I was worried Janine's exit would be her walking away with her suitcase, accompanied by a Julia's theme, but I thought that ending, whilst nothing explosive or dramatic, was very good.

 

A little bit unbelievable that she got off despite confessing, even if she said it was self-defence, but I am glad she didn't go to prison.

I too worried that if she got off it would just be a case of packing her bags and leaving, but that ending was FAB - pretty much summed up Janine Butcher as a character: money talks. Charlie looked stunning tonight also! :wub:

That was a brilliant send off for Janine! Perfectly suited to the character.

I loved today's episode. The only thing that was weak were the Alfie/Nicole scenes. But overall, great. Can't wait to see what happens to Kat/Stacey. I saw someone write on Digital Spy that they think Janine dropped the charges in 2010 and was merely tagging them along as an act of revenge, and basically had Kat lie for nothing. It certainly would be a good conclusion to that storyline, and would be classic Janine.

Janine and David stole the show tonight. I thought the Vic scene was a bit cringe though. Everyone vs Janine. It's been done, but I do see the need for it again I suppose.

Bianca's an ungrateful bitch! She's living practically rent-free in a house owned by Janine. And as someone who's spent a stretch in prison, she should know how hard it is returning to everyone being judgemental about it.

That doesn't excuse her previous behaviour though. She's always been willing to have a go at Janine at the first opportunity, yet the fact of the matter is she is letting them live practically rent free for years when they would've otherwise have been kicked out of their house.

Hated that pub scene, it was cringe, we've seen it before and it looks proper unrealistic and you realise you're watching a soap.

The send-off was on the ball and yes summed her up completely like the person above said, 'money talks'. I hope she comes back in a few years, or preferably 1, as a millionaire and some outrageous storyline as to where the new husband ended up :lol: I didn't think Eastenders would be up to the task of a send-off that great!

 

I saw the spoiler pictures and just guessed it would be her sittin in luxury then off on a train. Nope, much better.

6.94m views for last night's episode...Eastenders ratings seem to be slipping again. January saw figures at 7.5m-8m whereas now the first half of the week sees just over 7m and slipping under come the second half.

Ratings are always highest in January. Nothing to worry about. The publicity blitz for the Lucy story should give it a boost.
