Surprised by how many I recognised, once I heard them :D.

I have goosebumps when listening to all of these songs, I could give points about 80-90% of the songs. I grew up listening to these songs :wub: :wub:

Bout to vote. Literally almost all of these would get like 10-12 points from me in a normal contest.

Voted. A lot to trek through, but absolutely ridiculous quality throughout, what a decade :wub: I could've honestly voted for about half the list.

I will be let down if the winner is anything other than 'Baby Got Back' js.

Spin-off Rules

 

Spin-offs are not subject to the usual set of rules and veto's that entries to the main contest are, as such we have a separate and much smaller set of rules:

 

Taking Part

- To take part in any Buzzjack Song Contest event you must first be a registered nation that is not subject to a Permanent Bar from the contest or suspension.

- Penalties for failing to vote in a standard edition of BJSC do not apply in the Spin-off section

- Penalties for failing to vote in the spin-offs may be introduced if the BJSC moderators find there is sufficient need. This will be reviewed regularly.

 

The Theme

- Our spin-offs have a theme, your entry must comply with the theme or the host will ask you to select another entry. For example: The theme is UK #7's of the 00's. The host asks only for entries that have peaked at #7 in the UK Singles Chart from 1st Jan 2000 to the 31st of Dec 2010. That means that anything that peaked at number 7 outside of those dates would be ineligible, even if it was in the chart in the timeframe. Songs that charted at #7 on their way up or down from/to a higher peak would also be ineligible as they did not peak at #7.

 

The procedure

- Spin-offs will be run in an identical manner to the standard contest. That means that the host will open a confirmation thread to allow you to confirm your entries via PM to the host. **Please only confirm your entries once the confirmation thread has been opened. PM's received before the opening of confirmation will not count as confirmations**

- After confirmation the host will either open the final or semi-finals. This will depend on the number of participants involved.

- To vote you need to allocate points to your favourite entries in the Eurovision Song Contest format. That is 12 points to your most favourite, 10 points to your second favourite, 8 points to your third and then 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2 and 1 points to the rest of your ten favourites.

- If you fail to vote by the original deadline your entry will be subject to a 33% deduction.

- Repeated failure to vote could lead to the moderators introducing the penalty system from the main contest into the spin-off sections, we don't want to do that so please vote!

- Deadlines will always be 23:59.
