January 20, 201411 yr Agree with everyone else here - great song, Kylie's never done a song like this and it's got a great tune. But there seems to be a bias for women past 40 as far as R1 is concerned. There are exceptions though (like didn't R1 play the hell out of Madonna's Confessions in 2005?) so we can only hope that her being a judge on a BBC show makes all applicable BBC Radio stations playlist the song. I'll also be keen to see what kind of 'image' goes with this song. I loved the "mature" image of "all the lovers" but with "Get outta my way", a lot of teens I know said she was being a Gaga wannabe (I disagree, but those kids make up the big record buying demographic).
January 20, 201411 yr Ha, yes but my point is if 'Slow' was released at this stage of her career it wouldn't go anywhere near Number 1. She's not following up 'Fever' anymore :( As long as it sells steadily I'm not fussed where it charts. A chart run like Gary Barlow's Let Me Go would be very good.
January 21, 201411 yr I sort of hoped she would've done something like Confide in Me and Put Yourself in My Place - a strong ballad with great tune. With this she is sort of between R1 and R2 demographics. Only performances will help this chart top ten imo. Although sales have been quite low recently so with her fanbase it might sneak into top 5.
January 21, 201411 yr Author This just gets better with each listen, the chorus is joyous. It reminds me "Roar" in that way.
January 21, 201411 yr I've come to the conclusion I'd love this to be #1 but I doubt it will happen. What is the release date for this? Edited January 21, 201411 yr by JSG

January 27, 201411 yr Lovers! I'm joining Ken Bruce for the UK radio premiere of #IntoTheBlue today at 11AM GMT on BBC Radio 2!! I assume Radio 1 aren't going to be taking it on then?
January 27, 201411 yr I assume Radio 1 aren't going to be taking it on then? We can only hope it'll sell like 'Move Like Jagger', making Radio 1 look like complete idiots for snubbing it... :P
January 27, 201411 yr I guess we'll know for certain if Radio 1 are definitely snubbing it by mid-February, but I'm fully expecting them to.
January 27, 201411 yr It might end up performing similarly to Gary Barlow's single, you never know. I think Radio 2 will certainly playlist it.
February 19, 201411 yr I'm going to be fairly optimistic and say #5, could be a bit lower but fingers crossed for at least top 10.
February 19, 201411 yr Deserves number 1 but sadly it will probably be beaten by DVBBS but I'm going for number 3 with a similar run as All The Lovers as radio 2 and capital are playing it and no doubt she will perform it on the Voice
February 19, 201411 yr Not expecting this to do that well. I'm predicting low end of the top10 for one week followed by big drop.
February 20, 201411 yr I actually really like it. Was surprised it was here when they said it at the end of the song. It was on BBc1 a few weeks back but like 3am :/ Seeing as radio can be pretty ageist at times, I don't expect it to do well, but it'd deserve it, first big hit since All the Lovers? (which was also v. good.)
February 20, 201411 yr I've put between 6&10. It's a great track and I think her fan base will easily get this into the Top 10. Hopefully she does abit of promo outside of The Voice (Graham Norton, Jonathan Ross, etc...) to support this as she's in the country.

I'm not sure there's even going to be a physical release though - and if not, that'll hurt sales by several thousand at least...
February 20, 201411 yr It's not doing well on pre-orders on iTunes, but I guess the demographic who are being exposed to the song aren't of the age where they rush out to pre-order a single on iTunes.
