I agree, one of the most well known songs of all time.

I really love that tracklist actually, MAY be tempted to buy that. Although I highly doubt that Something About The Way You Look Tonight would have even sold 200k without a certain something tagged onto the double a-side, which probably should have featured on here instead. Then again I've never seen Candle In The Wind on any compilation so I'm guessing there's some licensing issue with it.

The original Candle In The Wind was on a Now I think. But you're right, I've never seen the 97 version on a compilation.

Now That's What I call Music Trivia Box

I got this yesterday. I haven't opened it yet.

I have that Trvia box. It's okay, a little dull though.

20: Feeder - Buck Rogers

This one was a little harder to make because the charts were all over the place at the beginning of 2001, but I have tried to keep the Pop-Rock to a minimum  I've also put "*" next to songs that didn't make the original NOW 48 back in 2001

ALSO! I forgot to mention, I did upload Volume 1 of this series on 8Tracks in full. You can listen to it here

P.S. Should I make a separate thread for these kinda things in the "End of Year" chart thread?

Just noticed this on FB, 8 weeks 'til release, too.

I am so excited for now 89. It could be the best edition yet if these songs get on:

Boom clap, break the rules, comeback, crazy stupid love, Cheryl's new one, prayer in c, giant in my heart, bang bang, changing and many more

EDIT: Also Bo$$, Anaconda, Black Widow, Glow and Paloma's new one

NOW 89 has it's own thread now 'cos this thread is too big. (whatever that means).

I'd love to see Anaconda on NOW 89, even if it is gonna be a terrible Radio Edit

Haha indeed! I believe the reason is something to do with 50+ page topics slowing down the server, I'm not sure why but it's something we've had to do for years - Alexandra's 2nd album topic had multiple topics for example.

Another new compilation, Now That's What I Call Legends...

http://www.amazon.co.uk/NOW-Thats-What-Cal...8A0X0J1131PQXYX

Out Nov 24th, the same day as Now 89! No tracklist yet, I assume it's songs by the absolute biggest ever artists.

And if that's not enough, they're re-releasing NOW Disney

Tracklisting Here

AND here's something interesting. I found this on Amazon saying it's an import, but Play.com has it as well!

(and that's out the 17th November). No track listing yet.

It's better than the original NOW 90s album for sure.

That is better, but I don't think I'd part with my money for it since there's nothing I haven't got multiple copies of there.
Same here. Gina G followed by Alice Deejay though *.* Good to see the superior version of Three Lions too (although I'm probably the only one who feels that way)

Has anyone else bought the new Now book in Sainsbury's? It's exclusive to there but only £5 which is good for a really decent book which features lots of trivia like most appearances, most consecutive runs and most 'disc one, track one' type stuff. Has a comprehensive record of each volume, full tracklisting, general history of the time period that it was released and a few comments about some of the songs on the album. For Now 82 there's a passage about Loreen being the only Eurovision winning song to ever feature on a Now *.*

I got it today! They've covered everything (even the spin-offs), it's nice and colourful as well. Went straight to the NOW 44 page (that was my first NOW). Incredible

Nice that they give a nod to the acts that have never appeared too (depsite not explaining that it's because of record label politics)

My mum shops at Sainsburys whereas there isn't one near me so she said she'll pick the book up and keep it for me as a Chritsmas present.

The Now Million track list has grown on me so I expect it's arrival on Monday. I'm not a fan of her but I've only just clicked that there's no Rihanna on the track list. Says quite a bit that it took me this long to realise it.

The 90s album still hasn't grown on me. There's glaring Brit pop shaped holes in it when they have double appearances for Cher and Spice Girls. I do wish they could have an ultimate 90s album since there's big ommisions on the two that exist.

I can't believe Madonna has 70 songs that have never appeared on a NOW (that made the top 40) It would've been 69 if they added "Give Me All Your Luvin'" to NOW 81! :arrr:

I love the trivia for some of the NOW albums, especially when they say things like "We didn't get Madonna, but here is a list of songs that contain Madonna samples" Also, it's nice to see all the artwork in High Quality, especially the earlier NOWs which covers have faded in my collection.

I agree about the 90s missing Britpop, maybe they'll release a "NOW Britpop" or something (god help us all).

Also, I wish they could get licensing for things like "Black or White" or "Men In Black" :(
